Why dont they make sandals like this for adults?

I know they're not going to win any style prizes but they're similar to a lot of designs for women except they have straps to keep them on your feet. I can't be doing with mules/flip flops. It feels like another conspiracy to slow women down. You can't run properly in flip flops and they dont seem to put proper straps on women's sandals.

This came with the morning post, moshulu.co.uk brochure, I've never heard of it before, there's some summer shoes in it similar to the pair you like.
