I know they're not going to win any style prizes but they're similar to a lot of designs for women except they have straps to keep them on your feet. I can't be doing with mules/flip flops. It feels like another conspiracy to slow women down. You can't run properly in flip flops and they dont seem to put proper straps on women's sandals.

Saltwater sandals are almost identical.

pinkseal · 22/02/2021 17:35

Earthspirit do some comfy ones((www.<a class="break-all" href="https://amazon.co.uk/Earth-Spirit-Womens-Slingback-Sandal/dp/B07QMMVT81/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&s=shoes&qid=1614015260&refinements=p_4%3AEarth%20Spirit&sr=1-14%29%29&tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-style-and-beauty-4173471-Why-dont-they-make-sandals-like-this-for-adults" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">amazon.co.uk/Earth-Spirit-Womens-Slingback-Sandal/dp/B07QMMVT81/ref=sr_1_14?dchild=1&qid=1614015260&refinements=p_4%3AEarth+Spirit&s=shoes&sr=1-14))

Art Copenhagen have loads like that, as do Yokono. Saltwaters have completely flat soles rather than a cork footbed.

The Birkenstock Yara isn't ugly (but dear God they're expensive! Double the price since I last bought a pair.)

these are quite similar and I'm pretty sure there'll be even more available as we get closer to spring/summer

ghettihead · 22/02/2021 21:25

Check out Moshulu, so comfortable

BobbitWormNightmares · 22/02/2021 22:07

There are lots of styles of Birkenstock, some have straps like your OP photo

Poppins2016 · 22/02/2021 22:19

I have these, from Birkenstock:

They're very comfortable and versatile, I wear them with dresses and feel they're quite elegant and feminine for what they are!

Poppins2016 · 22/02/2021 22:20

Merrell or Teva would be worth a look, too. They often have some decent leather styles.

GeidiPrimes · 22/02/2021 22:28

Birkenstock do make tulum in adult sizes though. Have a google.

BikeRunSki · 22/02/2021 22:46

These?

wantmorenow · 22/02/2021 23:00

Reiker. Lots with straps.

FeltTipPenny · 23/02/2021 17:30

I have these by Timberland. They have a toe post, not sure how you feel about those, but I don't think they're ugly at all. Fair enough if you do though, each to their own!

I've got about 5 pairs of Fitflop sandals with a heel strap.

LisaD76 · 05/03/2021 19:57

My wedge sandals are the same, and I can walk pretty fast in them considering they are a platform wedge, cannot wear any shoes without a strap as I have flat feet. Absolutely insane trying to find ones I like with a strap sometimes, it all depends on the current trends.... whereas I couldn’t care less and would just buy the same shoes/boots over and over if only I could

StormCattitude · 05/03/2021 22:03

I got something very like the OP link from M&S a few years ago, might be worth a look there.

yaboo · 05/03/2021 22:54

There's a few sellers selling something very similar looking currently on Ebay, for a tenner. Leather, too. Can't be bothered looking for link, sorry.

purplemunkey · 05/03/2021 23:23

I’ve got something similar from Timberland.

I don’t really think this is a thing TBH. Plenty of options for sandals with straps.

DianaT1969 · 05/03/2021 23:26

Ignore the people saying Saltwater. If you read a few more threads you'll see people admit they are thin-soled, offer zero support, and you feel every step in them. People on here admit they couldn't wear them for a day's walking around a city. So what's the point?
Look at Teva sandals. Adventure sandals that you can wear forever.

Merryweather80 · 06/03/2021 20:05

I've got a pair from cath kids on with the two straps. There was some in Fatface last year too, I had navy blue. Both pairs are very comfortable.

WindyPudding · 06/03/2021 20:15

There used to be more dainty Birkenstocks like this, especially the style called Lillie (or sometimes Lille) - I had some that I wore to shreds and then found they don't make them any more, but they come up on ebay.

holyshitballs · 06/03/2021 20:22

I know you said you don't like flipflops but I've worn ipanemas (with straps) for years and find them so comfy..

I've always thought this about saltwater. Really thin soles.
