Wedding Dress Advice!

Hello all!

My first ever post here so be gentle 😅

I had my first DD in December 2020. I have now booked my registry office wedding to my DP for September 2021 (it will be a small affair - apparently it classes as a micro wedding 😂) and so I have naturally started hunting for something to wear. I am currently 30 years old, a size 16/18, 5’9 and have MASSIVE boobies (34K) but some of that will be due to me currently breast feeding. My happy comfortable place is size 12 and that is my goal for the year.

I have found this dress that ticks all my boxes for the wedding. It only goes up to a size 14. I can’t decide if I should take a punt and buy it in the knowledge I don’t currently fit into it, and it might not suit/ fit my boobs even it if I do ever fit into it (I am planning on losing weight but easier said then done right?)

Can I have some advise on what I should do? Buy it and use it as inspiration to lose weight? Wait until closer to the time and see if something else might have caught my eye by then? Don’t buy it is bloody awful and will never fit anyone with anything over a D cup? 😂

Thanks in advance lovely people 😁

I'm not a dissimilar size to you, I also got married with a young, breastfed baby and an internet bought dress.
My advice in normal circumstances would be to try on different styles to see what suits you, but obviously that's not possible at the moment. But think what normally suits you in regards to necklines, length, shape etc. Both those dresses are very unforgiving on the bust and the models have very small chests.
Wedding dresses generally come up very small, so I would size up several sizes.
Also will you still be breastfeeding? If so you need something easy to get in and out of.
Also consider what bra you can wear underneath and bra straps being visible etc.

OP - saw this and thought of this thread straight away (sorry if you have already found something). Pretty floaty sleeves, lower neckline, body skimming, up size 16, plus plenty left in your budget for alterations to make it a perfect fit. www.asos.com/hope-ivy/hope-ivy-bridal-floral-beaded-and-embellished-maxi-dress-with-plunge-neck-in-ivory/prd/22947409?colourwayid=60438642&SearchQuery=&cid=2623

Hello! Me again! Thankyou for all of the help and advice thus far.

Can I ask for opinions on this dress? - I hope it would be a little bit more boob flattering. I was thinking I could buy it in a size 18 and then alter it as required before the wedding.

Gosh that’s pretty. I don’t know though. Very possibly?! I usually steer away from anything I can’t wear a bra for Grin
Is it the lace you really like?
This sort of shape would work though it isn’t lace like the ones you like

Lovely dress but definitely not for the biggeth of boob.

Bigcheesey · 20/03/2021 20:24

I really don’t like anything that shows off any sort of boob flesh if that makes sense! 😂 so whilst dresses with a lower neck line would probably be more flattering such as with a V neck (if that’s what you call it) I hate any part of my boobs being visible.

I am into lace, but a specific sort of lace that I can’t really describe. The perfect one was on the original dress. 😂
