Mumsnet Vogue Vol 89 - Must try harder **Edited at the OP's request**

SO the last 'edition' took over a year to complete. Must try harder Voguettes. Despite the fact that we are still in lockdown, and rarely out of loungewear, there is still inspiration to be found. Spring is springing, brighter days are on the horizon and homeschooling CANNOT last forever (not if miniShop wants to live anyway).
So join us for style & beauty chat, and other inspiration as we navigate our way as stylishly as possible through lockdown 3.

Blair sorry for your loss. As Shop said 91 is a great age to reach.

Shop so happy for your good news. Enjoy the fizz and food that you don't have to cook. I'm quite fed up of cooking. Lovely bracelet & it will suit your style perfectly.

I've just ordered the Sleek trainers that MissKittyKitty linked for me. They're a great find. Thank you.

That bracelet is lovely shop.

I’m feeling sorry for myself as it’s Friday night, my kids are ignoring me, I’ve cooked something different which they will invariably hate so I’ve ordered the blouse

Thank you all Smile it was more a celebration than a sad occasion, especially as it was the first chance we all had to meet in such a long time.

@QueenCremant when I opened your link I was expecting it to be navy, and was pleasantly surprised Wink you really are the queen of blouses.

I love that blouse @QueenCremant it's perfect for spring.

So many lovely things, I'm so tempted. I actually need a belt for my jeans, and I saw a great chunky leather one from Mint Velvet but after spending a lot on boots today I'm not sure I can justify another £49 on a belt

@QueenCremant it's not navyShock

Oops sent too soon

Blair 90 + is a very good age. I'm glad he had a good send off.

Lovely bracelet @shopafrolic and very you.

@Dreamqueen glad you got the trainers. I ordered another pair too.

@Pigtailsandall I tend to spend more on accessories than clothes. My clothes are quite plain and I wear cheap Next jeans but I'll make them more interesting with accessories.

@QueenCremant when @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping said how surprised she was it wasn’t navy I had high hopes - for green / pink but no.....
It is lovely though..... baby steps Grin
@Pigtailsandall I buy Isabel Marant belts from the Outnet. About £100 a time but have lasted well over 4 years and are still immaculate so I would say worth spending on if you can

So sorry to hear about your grandfather @BlairWaldorfLovesShopping but what a wonderful way to farewell him.

I am just finished work and oh so ready for the weekend. It’s been a long and busy one here. DC are now back at school so hey grateful for that. No style news. I haven’t had a minute to look at anything. Sweatpants and a blouse is about all I’m good for these days. Grin

Opinions please on these Veja or these Veja. La Redoute have sent me a 30% off voucher so it'd be rude not to use it.

Very excited! the gel nail kit is arriving this afternoon. Either I'll have half decent nails orI'll be wearing disposable PPE gloves until the beautician opens up.

Have a great weekend.

@shopafrolic thank you for the tip! Those belts are gorgeous. Adding them to my wishlist. I have to wait till Aprul because I've spent my March allocation for fashion in advance.

Those Veja trainers are lovely, I love the yellow lace-ups. Great for spring!

Dream I really like both but going for yellow by a smidge

Blair I’m really sorry for your loss but I’m also glad it was a celebration

Shop love the bracelet for you

QueenC love the top

Stokey I hear you re holidays

Kitty I can see you rocking bright fuschia

Mara I loved the Gucci slides on last thread, I still need to find APC bag to link will revert Grin

On holidays I’m more worried about any isolation needed in a hotel than cancellation

Not with a three year old!

Dream yellow from me too. Perfect for spring.

I've got this arriving today Baukjen topp* still not sure if it's really me but I so bored of all my tops and fancied something that wasn't plain.

Another lovely day here. I'm going to try and persuade the dc to go out on their bikes.

APC from Liberty

It’s a slightly different shape but same colour. It’s a really easy bag when I just want minimal stuff and don’t want to take a bigger one or even the Celine trio

We had good news for Ds who got into his first choice school. It’s a more academic one with great extras and we’re feeling very excited!

Plus I managed to dig very deep and overcome some personal hurdles Grin to get foot back on creative ladder. It was very hard but so glad I persevered.

I should say re the APC bag it’s a bit of a divergence for me but it is hugely useful and it was first year dh had to go it alone. So I need to encourage rather than discourage 😬

@MarshaBradyo gorgeous bag.

Congratulations to DS, it's been a tough year for them particularly without seeing the schools. DN who lives near you was going through it and didn't get the co-ed one he wanted although did get the more expensive all boys much to my DB's annoyance. We're on the waiting list for one of the grammars so hopefully will get a place during the summer term.
