A really good coat or really good winter boots; you will wear them every day and get the most use out of them.

This coat.
And some nice bath stuff. :)

Knittingnanny · 11/02/2021 18:13

DocMarteens When you find that red coat let me know as I’ve wanted one for the past 3 winters and couldn’t find one I loved.

TroyTown · 11/02/2021 18:16

Any of these;

Perfume
Vela’s
Russell and Bromley boots
Russell and Bromley handbag
Baukjen knitwear and joggers
Maybe something from the White Company

Some gorgeous red and berry coats at John Lewis, tho in limited sizes. I love this colour. www.johnlewis.com/phase-eight-nicci-belted-wool-blend-coat/port/p4761113

Ooh R&B boots are a great shout!

Linen bedding- I see all over the place but is it not scratchy and creased? I totally get the appeal of new cotton bedding but not sure on linen...

The trouble is that I genuinely need nothing and am going nowhere special! I use skincare for sensitive skin so don't branch out too much. When I'm not working, I'm toddler wrangling so practical, washable clothes are a must. I have lovely clothes that have not been worn in ages.

I have bath oils and new slippers on the list so far...

Barbour waxed jacket and hood.

It's meant to look sort of a bit creasy, like this . I like that look, but I guess not everyone does. I've only slept in pure linen bedding once and I absolutely loved it. Not scratchy at all.

Bettina500 · 11/02/2021 18:37

I would buy something to keep, like a piece of jewellery, decent handbag, or a really good timeless coat.

MindBodyChocolate · 11/02/2021 19:13

Having seen them on a previous S&B thread, one of these kimono jackets www.shibumistyle.com/collections/kimono-jackets

Pigtailsandall · 11/02/2021 19:39

Another vote for linen bedding. It does crease, but in the sumptuous, come-to-bed kind of way. It gets softer as you wash it too. I bought a set in June and it's cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Alternatively I want Russell and Bromley flats - and a new perfume.

NorbertMeubles · 11/02/2021 19:44

Dior perfume and a complete new wardrobe

AubergineDream · 11/02/2021 20:03

A silk pillow case and silk eye mask

MargosKaftan · 11/02/2021 20:14

I would get a lovely purse/card holder.

Or some nice snow boots (sorrel ones)

Or some earrings

Or a coat.

busface999 · 11/02/2021 20:22

Oh this thread is great. A good coat is such a good investment. I like expensive candles. I'd buy an amazing candle and some skincare, a facial oil perhaps

PerpetuallyUnderwhelmed · 11/02/2021 20:28

All great ideas! I love Cire Trudon so could get another one of those. I really need some new light foundation/tinted moisturiser so might read some reviews....

@MargosKaftan Sorrell boots are great.

I've fallen in love with everything on here. If only I was 30 years younger, 2 stone lighter and a beautiful french woman!
MargosKaftan · 11/02/2021 20:47

Do you have an outdoor wear gap in your wardrobe?

Do you have a nice classic trench? Black leather biker jacket? If you are missing either of these, id get one for the spring.

Or a tailored wool coat (they are going in sales now as everyone is buying puffer styles, but a smart coat always makes me feel a bit more fancy).

Mulberry have small purses around £200 mark. While you'll use different bags, a purse doesn't get changed much, so worth having a nice one.

Michael Kors jet sets are about £150-200, and a good size cross body bag/evening bag. I saw someone with a bronze /gold one that seemed very versatile.

Or a bracelet. Something you can wear every day, not "posh".

PerpetuallyUnderwhelmed · 11/02/2021 20:52

Trench or bracelet are excellent suggestions, thank you! I think a trench would work well for me.

I have a mulberry purse and some smart coats from my office days so am good for them.

Strange how when you decide to treat yourself, you can’t think of a wish list. When you’re denying yourself, your list is huge!

Emma hardie vitamin c cream!

I’d try some Trinny make up products because I haven’t but I’ve been tempted

I’d save some to use at the hairdressers when they’re open

hiptobeasquare · 11/02/2021 21:15

@BrandyTrap I recently discovered the website through the S&B boards. I just a jumper and a T-shirt from them and they are lovely quality. I am going to treat myself to the trench in the spring. :)
