Like Pears, I am on a summer rotation of Acqua de Colonia Concentrada, A la Reines des Fleurs, Silver (Weil), and Azzaro Pour Homme. This is partly because I haven't quite got the right place for perfumes in the new place yet, so newer purchases are closer at hand.
Azzaro Pour Homme turned up in TK Maxx and is one of the Luca Turin 5 stars and turns up on loads of desert island lists. It has not disappointed. Lavender, soft leather and moss, and bitter but soft herbs in between; it is a very classy aromatic and very enjoyable to wear this time of year. Fans of Feu Follet and vintage Diorling should run to get a bottle of this.
It reminds me in style a bit of Halston's Z14, although that feels much bolder and showier with its big cinnamon twist. The parallels to Feu Follet and Diorling remind me of how daft and arbitrary it is to describe scent molecules as being either feminine or masculine.
