Waterproof, warm comfortable boots (not shoes)

I’m trying to find some boots that are warm, comfortable, waterproof and not just walking shoes-ie calf length if possible, but struggling to find something that ticks all the boxes!

The reviews seem to say they are either waterproof but not comfortable or they are warm but not waterproof! Or just uncomfortable!

Any suggestions gratefully received!

I just bought some Dublin river boots, very pleased with them so far, wearing them daily

I've recently bought these, fully waterproof, very comfy sole, a bit firm on the heel but I'm still wearing them in.

What are they for btw? My warmest waterproof boots are Sorel Joan of Arctics .... would recommend anything by Sorel. Can do -40 degrees so will def keep your feet warm.

Only for dog walks in the woods and things like that that, really-not hiking for days on end in Norway or anything hardcore.

Blundstone boots. Comfortable, waterproof, look great (IMO). Might be too short though if you're after a full boot.

You don’t mention a budget. I wear Dubarry Sligo boots for most of my regular walking (but proper walking boots for more extreme hiking). Not cheap but worth every Penny in my opinion. Just been put for a quick 5 miles walk through the woods in the snow and my feet were comfy, dry and warm.

I have got some Sorel Rylie, suede but waterproof

Dubbarry boots. I have the longford ones that are quite fitter and I think are nice enough to wear to a coffe shop/ pub as well. So comfy and warmer than wellies. Have been ankle deep in mud in them. Have tramped through dreams and wave jumped on the beach in them. Nearly three years old and still looking good despite living in them.
V expensive and their are cheaper alternatives such a as Dublin river boots.

Have to agree! I’ve had a pair on the go for 25 years, usually black. They generally last about 6 years, but I’ve just replaced some where I’ve torn through the leather on barbed wire. They were 5 years old, and I wear them with everything most of the time. Replaced them with those with the blue elastic.

I've always quite fancied some of these, tried a pair of the long ones on at Crufts a couple of years ago and they looked v cool on! zooadventure.co.uk

Bugger, just spotted on their website that, thanks to Brexit, they can't currently ship to the UK 😔 but they're trying to get it sorted.

My leather boots are waterproof and are by Timberland.

I bought some timberlands last autumn and they have been brilliant. I have the leather ones which are waterproof and the most comfy boots I've ever had, can walk miles and miles and nice and warm and dry at the end!
Annoyingly they went into the Christmas sales but they run some good offers lots of the time 😊

I would go for Sorel. The Explorer Joan or Explorer Carnival are lightweight, waterproof and can just about cross to everyday wear. Blundstone best for wearing everywhere.

For really cold and wet Sorel Tofino or Torino.

Size up in all the Sorel, reviews on their own website are great. Amazon often do great deals, especially if you're an odd size.

Celtic and co do Aqualamb boots which I’ve had my eye on for some time and sound like what you’re looking for.

@allbird, do Timberlands run small? Should I go up half a size as I do in running shoes, my feet are fairly wide?

Sorel - I doubted if they were really waterproof but they’ve proven me wrong many a time!

Sorel boots. Perfect for dog walking, waterproof and look good too. I have Out n About and Joan styles.

Im a size 5 and my Timberlands are a size 5 and fit perfectly - Ive got the ones similar to the picture but in brown with a light wooly lining - so comfortable. Ive got wide feet too (bunions!)

@Imtoooldforallthis could you tell me what the sizing is like on these boots please? Do they run small/roomy or so you think true to size?
