Inauguration style, anyone?

I have been channelling Bernie recently but I am dusting off my Good Coat after watching!

Amanda Gorman's beautiful yellow was my highlight.
I also loved

  • the lady in pale blue at the back
  • the lady with a fuschia coat and white glasses!
  • the Biden granddaughters
  • the baby in a tartan coat and bonnet

And Dr Biden's coat was sparkly. I would like a sparkly coat.

Michelle Obama looked amazing, everyone else looked very underdressed by comparison. Although, I thought the younger attendees all had quite individual looks, more a display of personality over high fashion.

Yes, I love that raspberry/burgundy colour. So classy.

I love the individuality coming through in while still being formal, warm and (for the want of a better word) appropriate.

I loved Jill Biden's teal coat. A v flattering colour and cut. Also liked Gaga's Schiaparelli and braids combo. Wacky but suited her.

Gormans coat was perfect. Watch the shops fill with yellow coats next winter.

Bonnet Baby was Hunter Biden's youngest.

That poet was amazing. Such poise and power. And as this is S&B I can also say that I loved her colours - BRIGHT yellow coat, flash of white and flash of red. And she had really beautiful hands.

Bernie is basically Michael Foot for the 21st century isn't he?

I loved Amanda Gorman and Michelle Obama’s look. Gaga’s was very OTT, as always, but it worked (her hair looked home coloured, but I doubt it was).

The disappointment to me was Jennifer Lopez, her outfit seemed too busy and I think the bling was inappropriate.

Michelle Obamas outfit was beautiful but Amanda Gorman stole the show in every way. I was surprised at how casually dressed the invited guests in the grass area were. Some of them looked like they were going to watch their kids football training.

Amanda Gordon and Mrs Biden looked lovely.

Didn’t like the yellow coat worn by the lady who introduced various people - it looked too casual.

The new VIce-president looked lovely also, and so happy.

Actually, most of the ladies looked lovely.

They have all navigated so many narrow, steep steps! Thought the granddaughter in the lovely pink coat looked a bit trippy as well.

I am sure that one of the granddaughters in black is wearing trainers Grin

Fairly typical of the US, plus it was bloody cold.

Melania’s high heels.. I was just waiting for her to trip or fall.. they were incredibly high.. did she not sink into the grass walking to the helicopter ?!?!

The woman must be drugged or just incredibly calculating. What else could explain him ?
I’ve always thought she is the most incredibly stylish person, though.

Michelle Obama looked fab, as did VP Harris. Her face when she was sworn in 🙂

Hillary Clinton looked great as well, but then she rarely gets it wrong.

Jennifer Lopez’s outfit was terrible, looked like something Liberace would do the garden in.
