Hi all,

Please could I have some opinions on these boots. I have a very neutral wardrobe and it’s been feeling a bit boring recently, what do you think?

I was thinking I would wear them with light wash straight leg jeans and black cigarette pants but they could could go with most neutral plain outfits?

Thank you Smile

Lots of people wear boots like this with swishy midi dresses too. Or cut off trousers/long culottes. Plenty of options but they won’t go so well with some patterns. Depends on your style but cut off wider leg jeans are your best bet. DD2 is ultra fashionable and she wears boots (Alexander McQueen ones) with cut off straight leg jeans. Zara jeans!

I don't personally like prints like that, also I think it's easy to get fed up with the same print, better to have brown or black.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/01/2021 23:35

They look like an ugly plasticky print to me, though tbf my view may be coloured by some fake snakeskin boots my DM had in about 1970.

OVienna · 19/01/2021 23:47

Yes

PickAChew · 19/01/2021 23:48

They look painful.

Neveranynamesleft · 19/01/2021 23:54

Personally I dont like the shape or height of the heel but like the print. Animal print will be around for years to come I'm sure.
This type of boot is fashionable with floaty midi dresses or skirts, skinny jeans, whatever takes your fancy.
It seems anything goes these days, each to their own.

AfterSchoolWorry · 19/01/2021 23:56

No. They're very naughties to me.

dudsville · 20/01/2021 00:17

It's bold, so you'll get fewer likes. It sounds good for your reasons.

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 20/01/2021 00:37

Love them.

Everley · 20/01/2021 01:23

I like them and have a similar pair in a black/navy/purple print. I like them with jeans or a midi dress. Perfect to jazz up some neutrals.

DramaAlpaca · 20/01/2021 01:26

I really hate them, sorry. I don't like the heel shape and I've never liked animal print, especially snake.

Monty27 · 20/01/2021 01:29

Hideous

I like the general idea. Its a pretty classic silhouette. The heel shape is a bit different, not block and not western. Not sure how comfy that will be as you will be clunking down harder on the back edge of that heel, maybe I am over thinking but I read that comfort is to do with the length between the toe and heel, if you look its quite short which means its a steep rise which does not for happy feet make, more than my limit anyway, you might differ. Personally I like metallics for injecting a bit of lift and snakeskin print is a bit scary for me, maybe some tame zebra print might be my furthest.

WitchesBritchesPumpkinPants · 20/01/2021 03:16

No Sorry.

Though if you're young & hip - that might be considered a good thing 🤷🏻‍♀️

OxanaVorontsova · 20/01/2021 03:58

Yes

katy1213 · 20/01/2021 04:13

Plastic and uncomfortable.

ShyAmy333 · 20/01/2021 07:42

Nice, I have a similar pair and they look nice imho with leggings tights or a skirt

They might look ugly (to some) but I hope they’re not plasticky for the price 🙈😁

Oh I love the heel, I wanted height without feeling like I’m tottering around on a teeny thin heel 😊

I think they’re fab! I have a fairly plain and neutral wardrobe too and do the exact same thing - leopard print usually - the colour of the snakeskin is nice and not too out there so they will probably go with more than you think. I say go for it!

The heel shape makes them a bit more edgy and interesting, but I do think they don’t look the most comfortable in the world so try them and see?

Yes I’ve never worn snakeskin before, boring leopard print (I say boring as it’s almost a neutral now) is as far as I’ve ventured into bold patterns. 🙈

Huh where did my post go? Writing it all again.... 🙄

Thank you for the midi skirts ideas, didn’t think of this. I don’t have any plain midi’s though but it’s an excuse to look 😁

I just want to address the plasticky comments, they’re not plastic 😭👇🏻
