Hi all,

Please could I have some opinions on these boots. I have a very neutral wardrobe and it’s been feeling a bit boring recently, what do you think?

I was thinking I would wear them with light wash straight leg jeans and black cigarette pants but they could could go with most neutral plain outfits?

Thank you Smile

Thanks @Dachshund I have had my eye on a pair since this I saw this pic on Pinterest. ♥️
I think I will try them and see what they look like in real life 😊

I hate leather soles - find them ridiculously slippy and feel like bambi on ice every time the pavements are wet. Quite like the look though

Ginfordinner · 20/01/2021 08:18

A no from me as well. I would look ridiculous in them.

Although, I am slightly jealous that you have a reason to buy and wear them. I never go out and WFH.

havemybreakfastthen · 20/01/2021 08:24

I like them a lot and agree with you about the heel, I find a block heel much more wearable than a thin heel.

I think they're a great way to add interest to a neutral wardrobe.

Oh I don’t 😂😂😂 I WFH every day and it’s only my walking boots that have seen daylight recently 😂 but aim just planning my wardrobe for next Winter 😭 I’m being optimistic 🙈

I’ve got them - or something very similar - and they’re great if you’ve got say all black on, just throw them in and you look more styled. My advice would be don’t overthink them just put them on and they tend to kind of just ‘go’ 😊

CorianderBee · 20/01/2021 09:16

I own them and they're not comfortable if you have a high instep.

the90swerebetter · 20/01/2021 09:28

@corianderbee Eek I have a very high instep. Might need to look at others similar... Zoe buy them and just walk around the house in them for a bit and see...

@Duvetdweller Yes I think they’d look great with all black 😃👍🏻

I think the heel height, style and print all together mean there is too much going on. I’d go for a classic style/lower heel in that print. They’re a bit garish!

unbalancedBella · 20/01/2021 09:40

I've got a very similar pair and I'm nowhere near being young and hip (50s). I wear mine with skirts/dresses and tights and with "going out" leggings. (When we could go out.)

quicknamechange84 · 20/01/2021 09:43

I like them a lot!

Fuckityfucksake · 20/01/2021 09:47

I quite like them, I've seen similar on people and think they look nice.
That said I'm not a fan of the heel shape, I tend to wear flats anyway as I'm tall.
If you like them that's all that matters.

PresentingPercy · 20/01/2021 09:47

There are plenty of snakeskin boots available from mainstream fashion shops. Younger people have also moved on to very chunky flat boots with “sock” style tops which hug the lower shin. These are all over Vogue. They are very comfortable but not for everyone. Same as snakeskin.

Glitterandglow · 20/01/2021 14:46

I love them! I’m a lover of animal print as I too wear a lot of neutrals and it helps add a bit of interest. Sounds like they would look great with your trouser choices!

Glitterandglow · 20/01/2021 14:47

Also please OP where are they from I would love a pair!

Purplecatshopaholic · 20/01/2021 16:30

Love those. Defo go for it

WildCherryBlossom · 20/01/2021 16:33

I think they would look very on trend with skirts / dresses.

Allispretty · 20/01/2021 16:34

I love ankle boots and I adore a printed boot! Love these! I have a very neutral (mainly black 🥴) wardrobe so have a few printed boots I wear often. Leopard prints always a good one as well and comes back year after year

MoltonSilver · 20/01/2021 16:43

I like the idea of them but something about that particular pair isn't doing it for me. They're reminding me of Bill Nighy in Love Actually. Sorry.

Olivetree615 · 20/01/2021 16:45

I'm in love with these and they could deffo be very stylish Grin

PresentingPercy · 20/01/2021 17:02

Carvella has similar ones but a slightly different shaped heel.

SimmerDownNow · 20/01/2021 17:30

I hate them but when I look at the Pinterest outfit I think she looks great! I think prints need to be seen in context, not alone. Get them and try them in with everything!

Userzzz · 20/01/2021 18:05

I love them. I think they will work well with neutral clothing.

KirstenBlest · 20/01/2021 18:14

I wouldn't wear them probably (because I usually wear flats)
but I think they would nice with 1990s styling.
