How many pairs of earrings do you own?

I’m looking to streamline my collection, if you have pierced ears would be interested to know how many you own!

About 25 pairs all cheap ones nothing expensive

Probably about 30 pairs, most of them gifts so I can't get rid of them.

Plus I have an odd number of piercings so handy when I loose one earring as they just become one that I put in the top of my ear.

Oh dear. Not sure if i can count that high.

20 - 30? (just one piercing in each ear.)

I used to change between them a lot but mainly now I wear pearl studs to match my strings of pearls or diamond studs to match diamond pendant. Sometimes I wear gold hoops to match gold bead necklace or garnet clusters to match dark red cardigan.

The bigger problem is that I only have 2 sets of backs: a set that fits my diamond studs and a set that fits my 2 pairs of pearl studs. So I'm forever swapping backs.

Sadly i've had problems with my piercings and hardly ever wear them any more.

A pair of insanely expensive ones from DH, much complimented.
Two pairs from my parents.
One from my brother and sister in law.
Two pairs I bought for myself and love.
A gorgeous pair from one of my best friends.

A pair of wooden toucans that are from the 1980s that I sometimes put on but don't have the guts to wear.

There are some others I seriously covet though.

Far too many! I used to buy costume jewellery all the time. I've stopped buying them so my collection is dwindling as I'm not replacing them as they break etc.

In terms of real jewellery, I have some blue topaz round ones, white gold. I have a pair of diamond studs on the way (also white gold) which DP bought me as an anniversary gift. And I'd like a pair of yellow gold hoops, although I recognise that many people find them chavvy that should cover all bases, I think!

Are those of us with a huge collection of clip-on earrings not useful in this survey, then?
I probably have about 15-20 of those as well. I didn't get my ears pierced till I was 30.

About 5 pairs but pretty much always wear the same pair of plain silver hoops.

About 30. All silver. Wear 5 in one ear and 6 in the other, sort of curated, some get changed, wear a couple of pairs and a few singles.

Never counted, but easily 100+ (probably more like 150 if I'm honest)

I’m really lazy and like expensive jewellery

A real range here! I don’t really trust myself with expensive pairs. I have around 15 pairs but tend to wear the same 4-5 pairs.

What I do find is that some earrings look better with longer hair and some with shorter which makes it hard to entirely streamline.

Too many to count, from vintage to many from Ciro/Monet in the 80's, to some high end gold pairs I never wear.

The ones I wear the most are lots of different and unusual silver ones all bought when I lived in india, mostly from 2 jewellers in Delhi, most purchased by my husband who knows my taste!

.......don't get me counting my bangles and bracelets, they are starting to need extra room!

I wear the same pair of tiny silver hoops all the time - I never remove them, even sleep, shower, swim in them. They’re still perfect! When they eventually look a bit worse for wear, I’ll get a new pair and do the same thing. I usually buy a new pair roughly every 2 years.

Lots - around 50? Some expensive, lots cheap. Families, wooden, studs, a fair mix.

However, I've spent the best part of a year in silvervstuds, shaped like roses, that were my Grandmother's. I can't wear dangles with a face mask and glasses, too much shit going on around the ears! Then add scarf, coat and hat... no.

I'm scared I'd lose earrings with my mask, as a friend did in August when we met for a coffee - putting on her mask had flipped one of her expensive earrings out and she never found it.

One atm they are 9ct yellow gold and diamonds.I never take them out.

Not nearly as many pairs as l do single ones!

There is a one eared oned legged woman who sneaks into my house at night and steals single earrings, single stockings and single socks. I swear the shoes are only safe because they are under the bed while l sleep!!! 😂
