Squat proof, well fitted black leggings for 5'4 DD 13

So that's it really. I'm looking for a decent pair of size S or XS black leggings for 5'4 size 6 that are not see through and fit well in that they don't go baggy etc. DD doesnt need supportive high waist leggings so sweaty betty or Lululemon aren't necessary plus obvs they are ££ but something well made. She currently wears Adidas leggings which are see through when she bends over. I want to keep costs as low as possible as well.

it's all to do with fabric weight, I find. My faves, so far:

myprotein: gym wear, thick fabric, high waist, nice colours, cost about 40 quid a pair, often has sales on,

crivit: (lidl) made for cycling, weird seam placement on the arse, but sturdy and well made and not see through at all: 15 quid,

adidas climaheat: warm, thick, great for outdoor activities, if you did hot yoga in them you'd collapse though, also expensive, about 70 quid a pair,

nike thermal running tights: obviously I do adult sizes, about 50 quid a pair, but they do a kids range which are about 25 quid a pair... and they look thick and squat proof... and quite cool...

Gap are good, and look at h and m adult size 6 rather than the children's!

@TwilightToStarlight you have to go onto the live chat to cancel but it's fine. I got the first offer, cancelled and then signed up with dhs email to get another couple of pairs. They are really really good.

Peanutbutterkitkats · 08/01/2021 17:37

Ohhh @schmockdown I like your style. I hadn't though of using my husband's email address for another 2 pairs. Brilliant idea, thanks Grin

Weird, that was supposed to be a smiley face, not flowers Confused

@maybemove did you buy the £25 gym shark leggings

I'm looking at the Training 7/8 leggings for DD who is slim in either a S or XS. I'd say she's a size 6 ish. Which ones did you buy

DD has Nike pro shorts but from what I've read the leggings aren't squat proof

I ordered 3 pairs of bike running leggings from ASOS last week , all see through!

TwilightToStarlight · 08/01/2021 19:17

My adidas ones have arrived... haven't opened them yet to try on, but I will. I have a yoga class (online obviously) in the morning and was thinking of going for a run before. Probably need leggings and joggers for morning run though. It's so fecking cold!

confusednortherner · 08/01/2021 19:21

Rainbow and Sunshine, they do lots of colourful prints but plain black too. I love mine and dd 14 wears ladies 4-6 and says they are best leggings ever!

confusednortherner · 08/01/2021 19:21

Brilliant to deal with too and no questions returns.

huuuuunnnndderrricks · 08/01/2021 20:51

I meant Nike not bike

relievedlady · 08/01/2021 21:49

The gym shark ones I bought dd are either xs or small.

She's tiny although lifts weights so although she's got a tiny frame she's very muscly and even though they stretch over the muscles in her legs they don't look thinner at all.

I've probably spent around £50 on normal black supposed good leggings just to wear with jumpers etc for myself so buying the gym shark ones for me was the best option.

CrotchetyQuaver · 08/01/2021 21:58

Can you persuade her to wear fairly large black knickers/shorts under them? They're the best things to keep assets covered up during squats!

ohhhhhyes · 08/01/2021 22:01

Nike Pro

FlyingByTheSeatof · 21/01/2021 15:42

I just wanted to add that I bought DD the Sinophant highwaisted leggings one size fits all from Amazon which she loves. She's a size 4 and they fit her perfectly and are squat proof.
