Yay or Nay to this bag?

I was given a MV gift voucher for Christmas. I'm not a huge fan of their clothes but I do want a light coloured bag for Spring/Summer and saw this one in the sale. I think I like it. Any opinions welcome.

My first thought was quite 80s and cheap looking. I looked at their other bags and that seems to be a theme.

Could you wait a month or so and they might have some more summery bags.

It’s a nice shape, size and colour. I think it’s a shame it’s leather (camel leather?) but that’d be my only objection. I have a couple of really nice t-shirts from MV. They don’t wash well but that’s my fault for bunging them in the general wash with everything else.

I'm not keen on the zips and studs although it's a nice shape. I agree about the 80s vibe.

It's the zips for me. I'd expect to see it in Primark or New Look.

It's not a great selection there is it? Could you get some basic stuff or flog the voucher to a mate who likes the brand?

I think the camel refers to the colour, though I could be wrong of course.

See I like the 80s vibe about it and I don't mind the studs, but I think the zips are the reason I'm unsure. Maybe I'll just hold on to the voucher for now, I've just never really seen anything I like there.

They do great trainers - have too looked at those?

Their bags are usually nice leather so I agree, it will be worth holding off until the New season stuff comes in to see if anything suits you better.

Its not a colour I'd ever go for. I suspect it might look better in real life. Their leather bags are usually lovely and soft.

It does have an 80s vibe, but I think that's the charm. I love the colour, it's a lovely shade and will work well with darker winter tones ie black, browns/rusts/purples, but also is pale enough to work with spring summer colours ie white, coral, teal, chambray. It also has a shoulder strap and a cross body strap which is really handy. It's smart and structured enough to look grown-up not studenty, but it would also work really well with denims and t shirts. Personally it would be a yay from me. I think it's a good all-rounder. And the 80s vibe is cool.

I quite like it, but I over 50, so that may not be the look you're going for :)

Pretty sure the camel refers to the colour, not the animal skin.
