Can fillet in lips ever look natural?

I’ve lost a lot of volume in my lips and am considering filler. However I’ve never really seen it look natural. I guess this is because of it looks natural you wouldn’t know - and on website before and after a it’s always straight after so still looks obvious.

Anyone had experience of having lip filler where people really cant tell?

With Liz, she is careful not to be photographed soon after any procedure so that everything has calmed down and she looks the same as normal when she is photographed. That’s why her looks are consistent.

Gwen Stefani looks like a puffer fish fresh out of the clinic but you won’t see that, only photos of when it’s all settled.

Rather than filler, people can have PDO., PCL or PLLA threads in their vermillion border which can give volume and a lip flip and look natural.

I have actually done this to myself because I do a few DIY procedures (only to myself and only after a ton of research, I also don't advise anyone else to do it) and I have to say it looks natural and doesn't hurt although some people report it can be a bit uncomfortable.

I have only used mono threads though and usually cog or screw threads are recommended, this might be why it doesn't hurt when I have done this to myself. I have some cog threads ready for next time which should be in 3 weeks.
I would recommend finding a qualified practitioner and getting it done but the beauty of threads over fillers is:
a) no risk of occlusion
b) natural looking
c) longer lasting and will form collagen naturally when the thread dissolves
d) no painful (so far!!)
e) you can keep having more added until you get the desired plumpness.

Also there seem to be a lot of really bitchy comments on this thread about
"oh I can always tell" "why would anyone want to do this" etc Hmm

Surely people can do what they want with their own body without everyone getting all frothed up about it? You can't always tell. Seems like everyone's a critic these days

Also there seem to be a lot of really bitchy comments on this thread about
"oh I can always tell'.

But that's literally what the OP asked for opinions on in the thread title - 'can they look natural?'. Some people think yes, some people think no. An opinion isn't bitchy just because it doesn't agree with yours.

Yes it can look natural, like botox can.

Do lots of research, start small, and don't go beyond where your lips once were.

Have a look at dr Harris in London. He specialises in the non surgical lip lift and the results are very very natural! In fact if I had the money I'd be there tomorrow! His ethos is on not filling the border and he says this is where all practitioners go wrong.

Pp recommended consultant clinic I was drawn into these for ages but please do not believe the lies and look at their reviews online. The woman who runs it is a complete narcissist

Some of dr Harris work

Yes of course but you have to go to someone VERY skilled

Always go to doctors .

I personally recommend Secret Aesthetics

PastaAndPizzaPlease · 03/01/2021 16:35

Yes - no one knows I’ve had mine done!
I arranged it so I was WFH the day off and the day after so all the swelling had gone.

Allispretty · 03/01/2021 16:36

Also how he classifies filler spread which is almost always due to filling the border. I unfortunately have class 3 which I hate! 😞

Yes it can look natural. Saying 'no you can always tell' is obviously daft because if you can't tell, you can't tell. Someone said that filler makes your lips look totally smooth but that is not the case. They only go super smooth when really really filled

Many women want the fake Kylie Jenner look, they aren't looking for natural. It is very fashionable. But for every one of those there are women having a small amount just to freshen up and you can't tell with them if it is done well. It just makes you look 'well' .

CrazyToast · 03/01/2021 16:53

Also bear in mind that the before and after pics are usually taken just before and after the procedure so they are swollen. It takes about 3 weeks for them to fully settle

And-- if you don't like them you can get them dissolved! Go for it.

Janegrey333 · 03/01/2021 17:08

I can tell the lips are fake. Better?
