Hello - let's hope we get a bit more glamour this year and fingers crossed for some tiara watching....

That is a very pretty brooch.

If I count the studs as two and I shouldn't really should I, I own a grand total of four diamonds. How many do we think HMQ owns? There's about 200 in that brooch alone

Love HMQ's outfit especially her hat, but are they real tulips/daffs on the brim?
Only thing I'd change is to have her in pale beige/cream pumps & a handbag. I'm pretty sure that she's got those shoes & that handbag in white, cream & beige.

HM looks lovely in the recent pictures. How nice to see her looking relaxed and well, which I find strangely comforting. Probably thrilled to be out, like most of us.
I read that Angela Kelly breaks her shoes in for her. I'd like that job, wearing HM's shoes round M&S foodhall and doing the recycling.

Actually the lipstick does look the same there. I agree totally that the cream shoes and bag would have been nicer with today's outfit - more spring-like.

As for her diamonds, she must have 1000s (though it's Camilla's diamonds I always envy).

Hmm, I've had another look at the hat pic and think the flowers might be fake - my Miss Marple deductions think:
*They are all completely symmetrical and perfect.
*She might be mindful of pollen and sneeziness.
I love that brooch. I have a recurring dream from childhood where I steal all the royal jewellery from the vaults and basically wear it all at once like a toddler. I wouldn't mind having my photo taken like the Princess Margaret bath one!
I wish someone would break my shoes in for me, that would be awesome.

I agree about the shoes and bag. Cream would have been better, but she tends to stick to black. Good work on the hat, Eaumyword!

That was my first thought paradyning. He has the same look that my teenagers would have if they were told to paint eggs and, to make things even worse, actually have their photos taken.

HMQ looks wonderful - she loves the spring colours.

Little known fact
As a birthday treat HMQ & Angela K book a day off together (usually halfway between their respective birthdays of April 26 & Nov 4) & spend the whole day 'playing with the Royal trinkets' as they are known.
Apart from trying on as much as they can, HMQ is also partial to using a soft toothbrush to gently clean the emeralds of any dust they may have gathered. Apparently she rather enjoys doing the odd bit of dusting as finds it a release (as it not something she needs to do) from all the stresses of the job.
One year Angela bought HMQ a telescopic cobweb duster & deluxe moisturising gloves from Lakeland for her birthday.
On the Vault Day (as it's known) they like to call each other Bet & Ange & pretend to be pub landladies but it's only on that day.

Pre Covid Lakeland would sell 3 pairs for the price of 2. So I would give family & friends a pair.
They last for ages. I get through a pair or 2 max a year compared to a pair of supermarket own brand or Marigolds every 6 to 8 weeks.

I don't know the things we're discussing because we're starved of royal fashion 🤣
