He could get lessons from the Queen. She aced the pronunciation.

She possibly had more language training as a child, back when the British upper classes were (arguably) more inclined to think it mandatory to for example speak French well (source: novels ).

Do you know who is overlooked? Princess Alexandra. I was checking out her children and grandchildren in terms of titles. She was always appearing on telly when I was young, she seems very gracious.

So she would be the equivalent of Beatrice and Eugenie in her day ?
Her children aren't Prince x or Princess Y ?

Princess Alexandra is the daughter of Prince George, Duke of Kent, son of George V. He was killed in the war. I think she and her brothers were very young. She married Angus Ogilvy and her two children have no titles at all.

Kate and William out and about today. I quite like her Massimo Dutti coat but not the colour or style of the turtleneck jumper. I wonder if a black top underneath would have worked better?

Yes MotherofPearl I think a black top might have been better, but she probably wouldn't have chosen that lovely bag then. I don't often like bags, they're not my thing, but I really like that one!

I'm just watching Scandal for the gazillionth time and there's a scene after the president has been shot when the first lady needs an outfit and they show a massive walk-in wardrobe (room!) and an side explains how everything is labelled with the event it's been worn to or prepared for, and it made me think of our discussions about Kate's wardrobe in particular and how items might be stored and catalogued for reference.

Personally, I prefer a simple system.....my clothes are either in the wardrobe or the wash
