How old is too old for bright eyeshadow?

Just that really.

I turn 30 in February and whilst I don't wear bright colours every day, there are times when I just think sod it and do a colourful eyeshadow look. Like today I woke up feeling a bit down so I cheered myself up by doing a glittery green eye look Smile.

I know I shouldn't care what people think but I am starting to worry people will think I am too old for the fun colours Blush.

How many of you still wear a pop of colour occasionally and how old are you?

I'm 50, quite goth-y, & have no intention of abandoning dramatic eye shadow, ever.

To be fair, I gave all my makeup to teenage dd2 to play around with over lockdown (& she's been having a fabulous time with my Illamasqua metallics), since I wasn't going anywhere to wear them, but in principle I'll be straight back into purple, silver & peacock green first chance I get...Wink.

I’m 40 and my eyelids crepe and droop now. Before they were just hooded.
I don’t know what to do makeup wise anymore as before I was all about the eyes.

I’d say if it looks good, do it. My friend is 45 and can pull off mad eyeshadows. Not that I’m jealous or anything....
