Gosh no you look nothing like a man!

JMAngel1 · 05/12/2020 06:50

Don’t be silly! You do not look like a man. Put 5 pounds on to fill your face out a little - my cheeks are like yours at the mo as I’ve lost around half a stone (not purposefully just peri menopausal stress) so I’m aiming to put it back on over Xmas and fill my face out.
Your skin is beautiful and even. All you need is a brown/black mascara, a creamy lip product which you can pop on your cheeks too and a smudge of bronzer on the outsides of your forehead and in your eye creases. 3 minutes tops.

Thanks, I have lost weight recently. I know I'm not looking my best here but good makeup tips! Smile

No. Nothing like a man!

DazzlePaintedBattlePants · 05/12/2020 08:06

To be fair if I took a picture of me in the middle of the night in my bathroom, I’d look like the Gruffalo’s bastard child with Mrs Brown, so cut yourself some slack!

You look nothing like a man, but yes, a bit more weight will fill out your face, and sort out your hair and you’ll be grand!

imamearcat · 06/12/2020 01:15

Just annoying when you get your fat arse under control and then your face looks like the back end of a bus!Blush

Had a few comments over the years about looking a bit more masculine then I had my mask on the other day in a shop and this guy, can't remember the situation exactly but he said 'thanks mate' or similar, i.e thought I was a fella!

gingingerbread · 06/12/2020 02:31

You. OST definitely do not look like a man. You've got quite pretty features. and the lighting in that bathroom is very harsh.

imamearcat · 10/12/2020 16:42

Sorted my hair out. Still hagged but feeling less manly now!

You look lovely and very pretty - definitely not a man ☺

Tehmina23 · 10/12/2020 18:32

You do not look like a man in either pic!

You dont look at all like a man. I agree some blush or bronzer would bring some colour to your face (though might just be the lighting!). Great even skin tone and clear skin!

LooseMooseHoose · 11/12/2020 08:35

No advice, but I don't think he did think you were a man. Where I work, people call me "mate" like they do all the actual men, seems to be a regional thing around here.

Craftycorvid · 11/12/2020 08:50

I’ve had the ‘mate’ thing and let’s just say I’d make a very short and odd-looking chap.

You look great!

imamearcat · 11/12/2020 16:42

Thanks all. I've been really good recently at taking care of myself r.e. Fitness and diet but less good (terrible actually) on the hair/makeup/skincare/clothes front.

Should be easy to up my game a bit there and feel better!

You don't look like a man. Have you tried to part your hair to the side? Sometimes it looks less harsh than a centre parting. Also if u fancy it, a couple of highlights around the front can also lighten the face up a bit.

TheChineseChicken · 11/12/2020 16:46

I think some highlights could be good for you. My natural hair colour is similar to yours and I look so much better with blonde highlights. Really brightens my face

MikeUniformMike · 11/12/2020 16:53

I get called 'mate' by someone who knows me well. It doesn't mean he thinks I'm a man. I hope

i once went to the till in Boots and the woman in front of me told me to pop it in her basket. She thought I was her son.
Her son turned up and it was a young boy in similar sandals and shorts to the ones I had on.
It was quite funny, but I thought he'd be a big hairy rugby player or something.

imamearcat · 11/12/2020 17:19

I normally have quite blonde hair but found it unsustainable with lockdown so have gone dark. Also agree on the side parting but it really doesn't seem to want to do that!!

imamearcat · 11/12/2020 17:22

Do I look really old? I'm 37. Seems like I looked quite youthful and then the kids came along and I aged about 20 years!🙈

OP posts:
GrimDamnFanjo · 12/12/2020 16:27

You have very striking eyes. Really beautiful.

justanotherneighinparadise · 12/12/2020 16:32

Nope. You don’t look old at all. You look lovely 👌

BusterGonad · 12/12/2020 16:40

I would skip the bronzer and get a pinky blusher and a glossy lipstick, I think bronzer on cool pale skin can add a real ashy look. Maybe add some colours to your wardrobe to lift your look a little. It's been a tough year for us all and you do NOT look like a man!

blebliotheque · 12/12/2020 16:44

I think you look lovely! Beautiful deep eyes and your mouth is gorgeous.

blebliotheque · 12/12/2020 16:47

I agree about colours - can't tell what colouring you have from those photos but the greys aren't flattering; they're too dull and are dragging life out your skin. Do you have anything jewel-toned to hold next to your face to try another picture?
