I've fallen a little in love with these boots. Has anybody got them? Should I treat myself?

What would you wear them with, if you like them? if you hate them, I don't care because I like them! Grin

Does everybody apart from me hate them? Grin

Bumping for you. I have a very different style so wouldn’t buy them. However they seem nice and non fussy which is good.

Brenna24 · 01/12/2020 20:51

For me it would be jeans and a slouchy jumper or leggings and a tunic. I think that they are lovely.

Hope4theBestPlan4theWorst · 01/12/2020 20:54

I think they're lovely but I'd hang fire as I am sure there will be seasalt sale before long

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/12/2020 21:07

I can get a discount, but probably wouldn't buy until after the new year anyway. They're a bit of a departure - haven't worn heeled knee high boots for 15 years or so, but I keep going back to look at them! Grin

I wear something similar
I live in them-leggings/jumper
Jeans
Dresses with leggings and tights
Skirts with tights
Just about everything really

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/12/2020 21:13

I love knee high heeled boots, although these ones are a bit plain for me personally. I wear mine with midi dresses mainly. Or with skirts, thick tights and a jumper. Very versatile. Work with culottes too.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/12/2020 21:22

Plain definitely better for me.

I'm liking the sound of them with midi dresses, in a 70s vibe.

I also quite like the sound of a longish jumper/short jumper dress, should such a thing exist that I like.

I like them but can’t wear heels.qQuite tempted by knee boots because with longer dresses and skirts you then don’t have to wear tights. I didn’t examine closely but I did see Avery similar pair in Sainsbury’s today. Might be cheaper if you are just dipping a toe into new territory😬

wfrances · 01/12/2020 23:36

I like them. I would wear them with dresses though not jeans or leggings. 70x style

MiddlesexGirl · 01/12/2020 23:40

Very plain. Can't see why anyone would get excited by them.

liquoriceallsortfamily · 01/12/2020 23:44

I absolutely love them. Sadly my size is out f stock or I'd have bought them tonight xx

JaneJeffer · 02/12/2020 00:56

It looks like the heel and sole are badly glued on.

sofiaaaaaa · 02/12/2020 00:57

I personally don’t like them but the style is very on trend so you’ll get lots of wear and outfit possibilities and will definitely enjoy them!

sofiaaaaaa · 02/12/2020 00:58

You could definitely wear them with a jumper dress. That’s how I have seen them styled on Instagram, along with blazer dresses and shirt dresses

sofiaaaaaa · 02/12/2020 00:59

I don’t like the styling of the model though. I think there needs to be a gap between the boots and the item of clothing.

Liddell · 02/12/2020 01:01

I think they are great.

EineReiseDurchDieZeit · 02/12/2020 01:25

I like them Remus go for it!

GoldfishParade · 02/12/2020 05:51

Theres something about them that bothers me but I dont know what

Girlintheframe · 02/12/2020 08:15

I really like them

Coconut2010 · 02/12/2020 08:22

I really like them. They’re pretty simple and timeless, you would not be taking much risk if you were to buy them.
My only hesitation would be to make sure that they fit your calf which is why I never buy boots online. The calf looks quite large on this pair.

TornadoOfSouls · 02/12/2020 08:26

I like them a lot though I think JaneJeffer might be right about the sole & heel.
I’d wear them with a midi skirt/dress but not one with frills or a loose waist like the model. They would also work well under flared jeans. They are a classic 70s-ish style.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/12/2020 17:34

The calves are what is bothering me, as I do have quite slim legs.

People who think they are 'plain' - what would you want in a knee high, heeled boot to make them less 'plain'? I'm picturing feathers, leopard print, heels, whistles and sequins, none of which I want in a boot. Grin

I'll stop looking at them now until January, and see if I'm still in love then!

Buckles, stitching, laces, tassels, contrast panels, more interesting soles or heels, trim etc.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 02/12/2020 20:07

Fair enough. I feel as if I want more plain stuff and fewer embellishments now I'm older. Otherwise, I could too easily veer into Helena Bonham Carter territory, but without her beautiful face.
