I always feel most Christmassy in a simple velvet dress. I like this one.

It’s just dh and me this year. I’ve got a red Lucy and yak mini pink and leggings planned, maybe with a Nordic style long sleeved t shirt underneath if I find one. Not glam but comfy and sort of festive.

JorisBonson · 01/12/2020 17:34

I bought this understated little number 😂

For comfort it has to be something I can wear with leggins, so Maybe a nice long christmas jumper, or a dress?

Ace1185 · 01/12/2020 17:36

Pyjamas

Wicker382 · 01/12/2020 17:42

I've bought 2 all saints dresses off ebay. Absolute bargain and they both gorgeous. One's red silk with a tie waist and a button up collar, very swishy and forgiving. The other is a brown/gold batwing jumper that goes tight around the bum and covers it (so more like a jumper dress). I'm going to wear that on boxing day with leggings.

I've never bought anything from there before. I can see why people are willing to pay more, the cuts are really flattering.

Oldraver · 01/12/2020 18:40

Pyjamas for most of the day, then will dress for dinner.

Not sure yet but have a mistletoe, reindeer, polar bear, and various cat Christmas dresses

JaceLancs · 01/12/2020 18:56

Either stretchy teal velvet dress or sequinned black sweater dress - one for Xmas eve meal one for Xmas day
NYE not decided yet but will probably be another sweater dress - I have a lovely gold and navy stripy one that I’ve had a few years but is always comfy and looks good

Love this

goose1964 · 01/12/2020 21:00

I'm going to wear my berry velvet t shirt dress. I forgot that I have a green velvet mini which I'll wear with black leggings when I get to see DD and her family.

ExpectingToFly · 01/12/2020 21:48

Velvet dress all the way! www.clarenceandalabama.co.uk/collections/new/products/ruffle-dip-red-spot-velvet-dress

Wow nice dresses!!

I love jumper dresses. Any idea where to buy them?

Separatedandabitsad · 02/12/2020 01:36

If I buy one, I’ll wear a nice jumper dress with slippers ... or else ... a velvet jumpsuit?! Do they exist? I’d find it comfier & would love to cover my legs

goldpendant · 02/12/2020 23:17

Toast have some beautiful velvet jumpsuits in the sale!

AdoraBell · 03/12/2020 00:27

Place marking.

Separatedandabitsad · 03/12/2020 06:40

Thanks @goldpendant I’ll check them out. I’ve never heard of Toast. Not Coast is it?

ThankYouDebbie · 03/12/2020 06:50

I bought a nice (stretchy) velvet jumpsuit from Jolie Moi at John Lewis.

@Separatedandabitsad Toast is definitely a different company to Coast. It's quite pricey though.

mintich · 03/12/2020 06:51

I'm going to be 2 weeks away from giving birth and have no idea what to wear!

KTD27 · 03/12/2020 06:59

Ooh if I had the money I’d get this rockthejumpsuit.com/collections/the-timeless-collection/products/kate-velvet-jumpsuit
Now THAT is a velvet jumpsuit.

MrsH497 · 03/12/2020 07:03

I need to think of something and something I can breastfeed easily in and be a bit dressed up. Lockdown baby means I've barely been out so want to get a bit glam if I can

Separatedandabitsad · 04/12/2020 00:56

@ThankYouDebbie

Ha! Thanks Debbie Grin I was thinking Coast might be too pricey for me — nevermind Toast!

ThankYouDebbie · 04/12/2020 06:05

@Separatedandabitsad Have you thought about looking on ebay then? I missed out on a Coast skirt by 50p last night but it went at £10 and still in good nick.

@KTD27 That is gorgeous Star

@MrsH497 If you don't mind getting your boob out over the top of what you're wearing, this jumpsuit would work well because the wrap across undoes www.johnlewis.com/jolie-moi-velvet-wrap-d-ring-jumpsuit/wine/p4807298 Hope that vaguely makes sense Xmas Grin Or a dress that has a similar neckline would work.

Separatedandabitsad · 04/12/2020 06:37

I never use eBay but maybe I should ... thanks!
