... what else would she like? DMs have been given by another relative, and I know she got some nice toiletries from Space NK. I'd like to not do a voucher as I did that last year. Any ideas?

@wonkhamstrong

Are Fjallraven rucksacks still cool? God I feel old
The cool (rich) kids at school wear them.

Stripy tights and mesh tops are my DD’s faves at moment. She has DM brothel creepers and wears them with the above and a big overcoat. You could also buy a selection of eyeliners, my dd is obsessed with white currently.

I second comment about ethical shopping- my dd knows something negative about every high at shop! Vintage all the way.

A Dr Marten backpack/shoulder bag

I’ve got a 15 yr old.
Jeffree star is over apparently
Glossier or Toofaced goid
Kat Von d for eyeliner & mascara (it’s vegan & has cool packaging)
White liquid eyeliner
Most of her mates like Monki clothes or urban outfitters (Monki is more reasonably priced)
Stripey tights, fishnet tights, Lacey tights - basically any tights that are not plain
Plants in interesting pots
Vinyl if she’s got a record player

DM leather satchel
Anything from Blue Banana
Stargazer cosmetics

Christ, apparently I have the same taste as a 14 year old Blush

Personally I think jewellery. Bloody Mary Metal would be my pick for the price range. The quality is really lovely as well, very durable!

Urban outfitters do some great, oversized flannel shirts that wash really well. I think they are around the £38 mark.

I would transfer money into her PayPal account. My 14 year old dd ( now 16) didn't like surprises and was buying her own things by then.

@binkyblinky

What about a pair of run & fly or lucy & yak dungarees?
As worn by mums? Not sure a 14 year old would appreciate that!
NottinghamFlorest · 29/11/2020 18:00

Not clothes! Why do you think you'd know what a14 year old girl would want to wear? Remember being 14 yourself. Makeup maybe... or just money. That's the best option.
