A unisex citrusy perfume that lasts?

Any ideas about this? I haven’t worn scent in years. I love citrus and more masculine scents but I don’t want overpowering.
I liked Bergamotto di Positano by Floris, but found it a bit cloying sometimes.

Both DS and I like L’Occitane Verbena. I also used to like Polo Sport Woman which was very grapefruity but I haven’t smelled it for a few years now.

@PearsMorgan

Acqua allegoria pamplelune smelled of cat pee on me. No other way to describe it. Been meaning to check out jo loves pomelo though thanks for the reminder
I am drawn to anything grapefruit smelling and sadly Pamplelune did nothing for me either!

Treat yourself to a Max Benjamin Pomelo candle - it's nicer and fresher than Jo Loves but unfortunately no perfume version of it.

I really like the Jo Loves "Grapefuit" body spray in the graffiti style canister - it's surprisingly well lasting considering it's a body spray in style. My perfume of choice is Diptyque "Oyedo" it's unusual citrus but I've had many compliments about it. I really love citrus scents - I've just come across the new Farmologie shower and bath adult range from Child's Farm and their Grapefruit body wash and bath soak is so lovely and only about £5 a bottle too if anyone else is on the hunt for that kind of thing!

Hermes Eau De Pamplemousse Rose is lovely and reasonably long lasting, but not cheap!

StCharlotte · 06/11/2020 18:47

Clinique Happy.

They do one for men too and if I could only have one got both of us, I'd be wearing "his".

riotlady · 06/11/2020 19:07

Is that the one that was in the M and S beauty calendar a couple of years ago?

@Ginfordinner yes!

GlassOfPimms · 06/11/2020 19:14

I wear Molton Brown Grapefruit and Vetiver. I absolutely love it - it's a simple unisex citrus/spicy scent which works well in all temperatures.

I find it lasts well on my skin unlike the other MB fragrances I've tried.

GallopingGreen · 06/11/2020 19:29

Some great recommendations here thank you!

Barracker · 06/11/2020 21:14

Mandarine Basilic by Guerlain lasts very well on me despite being an edc

ginislife · 06/11/2020 21:47

There was a Lancôme perfume that was fresh and citrusy? Can't remember what it was called. Green & white bottle maybe ?

buttonmoonb4tea · 06/11/2020 21:47

Clinique Happy is very citrusy

TheSeedsOfADream · 06/11/2020 21:52

@ginislife, O de Lancome. It's lovely.
Another one is Eau de Rochas. Both lovely crisp citrusses.

JMAngel1 · 06/11/2020 21:58

Yes, absolutely Light Blue

Hobbes8 · 06/11/2020 22:06

& other stories do little roll on perfume bottles for about £13. The Sicilian sunrise one is lemony and smells gorgeous. I don’t think it’s especially long lasting but you could carry it about with you and reapply it, and it’s fairly cheap.

Housewife2010 · 06/11/2020 22:22

Diptyque Tarocco is a gorgeous unisex citrus scent. Jo Malone Grapefruit and Clarins Eau Dynamisante are also lovely.

nancybotwinbloom · 06/11/2020 22:32

A cheap one is ck in2u

Iamthewombat · 06/11/2020 22:35

They never last, sadly.

I was disappointed in Jo Loves Pomelo. It’s got a weird incense/spicy quality that detracts from the grapefruit notes.

Belfastian · 06/11/2020 22:40

D&G no 3 L'Imperatrice is beautiful. Grapefruit, long lasting, clean. I love it.

Used to have that one but it’s now been discontinued. Annoying.
Teaseall · 07/11/2020 00:54

I haven't tried the actual scent but The White Company Lime & Bay shower gel and body lotion lay a divine subtle citrusy base layer on the skin, especially in the warm summer months. I've also tried the grapefruit one but that just didn't last unfortunately even though it's also a lovely scent.

Anordinarymum · 07/11/2020 00:57

@Janegrey333

Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune by Guerlain is a Citrus fragrance for women. Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune was launched in 1999. Aqua Allegoria Pamplelune was created by Jean-Paul Guerlain and Mathilde Laurent. Top notes are Grapefruit and Bergamot; middle notes are Cassia, Petitgrain and Neroli; base notes are Patchouli and Vanilla.

Gorgeous. I thing grapefruit scent is the key to zingy freshness not lemon.

I have this ! It's lovely
highlandcoo · 07/11/2020 01:23

I love Pamplelune by Guerlain too. With it I would use the Bodyshop pink grapefruit shower gel. Adds another layer of fragrance.

I also like Jo Malone Orange Bitters in winter, and Jo Loves Pomelo is fine but I always end up back with Pamplelune.

LittleEsme · 07/11/2020 07:27

Pacific do a lovely cruelty-free range that includes one called Blood Orange. Great lasting power on me. I veer away from perfumes that smell artificial and chemical but this stuff is lovely and natural. Only about £24 a bottle too.

fumingbird · 07/11/2020 07:35

It's not zingy citrus but Hermes Elixir des Merveilles is an orangey, slightly masculine scent, it works better in cold weather for me. I love it and it always gets compliments when I wear it. Smile
