I've been using Clinique Clarifying Lotion 1.0 for ages, but I'm wondering whether I could improve on it.

I've fallen off the hyaluronic wagon and want to hear what goodies are out there. The last one I used was Sub Q Hylamide.

I've used The Ordinary but it hasn't set my heart a flutter.

Was going to say The Ordinary red peel.

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 31/10/2020 06:52

Ah, I haven’t tried Red Peel, only their Buffet and something else I can’t remember the name of.

My absolute fav HA is Hado Labo Premium Gold solution - miraculous
Best exfoliator is Mychelle Pumpkin Peel once a week with TO lactic acid 10% 2-3 x week

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 31/10/2020 09:40

Is the Hada Labo one this one?

I much prefer Polyglutamic acid to hyaluronic acid, I feel my skin became a bit sensitive to it because it was in so much of my routine.

Azelaic acid is my favourite exfoliator!

JMAngel1 · 31/10/2020 10:03

Yes that's the one. It's a little chea
er on Amazon

JMAngel1 · 31/10/2020 10:03

That was cheaper!

Interesting. Any particular products you’d recommend? I want bouncy plump skin!

@JMAngel1 Thanks! Have you tried Missha Time Revolution? I rather liked that. Is the Hada Labo a similar product, watery but hydrating? I’m slogging my way through a DHC toner at the moment so I don’t waste the money, but it’s not as good.

Im loving Huda Beauty Wishful enzyme scrub. Best thing I've ever used for getting rid of dead skin cells. I also love on the other end of the price scale L'Oréal Pure Clay Glow which genuinely makes my skin glow. I use it daily and the Huda once a week.

Tweetypietwo · 31/10/2020 12:10

Caudalie gentle buffing cream is my go to exfoliator.

ParadiseLaundry · 31/10/2020 14:09

The Polyglutamic acid i use is by Inkey list, it feels lovely on the skin and make up goes on really well on top, it definitely gives me plumper skin compared to hyaluronic acid.

Azelaic acid I use is by The Ordinary, they're both pretty cheap!

I second this. I’ve tried a load of HAs and this is by far the best
ThatLibraryMiss · 01/11/2020 10:07

Innisfree Artichoke Layering Intense Skin is, I think, as good as Hado Labo and cheaper.

I cleanse with oil and a slightly rough face cloth with warm water, then wash with one pump of Bioderma Atoderm Intensive foaming gel. After drying gently I use a couple of pumps of Kikumasamune High Moist Skin Care Sake Lotion. Allow it to dry a bit, then a layer of the Innisfree stuff. Allow that to dry and top with Neutrogena Hydro Boost gel-cream. It keeps my skin soft and very comfortable.

JMAngel1 · 01/11/2020 10:58

I've not tried the Missha but yes the HL is watery but slippery - it takes 5 years off my face every morning Grin

OhRosalind · 01/11/2020 14:32

The gold Hado Labo is amazing and comes in a massive bottle. Definitely worth it.

Binglebong · 01/11/2020 14:46

I really like this. Improves my blemishes and spots and almost got rid of the bumps on my forehead. Trying to find the right moisturiser now. www.boots.com/super-facialist-salicylic-acid-purifying-cleansing-wash-150ml-10145894

ZazieRoses · 01/11/2020 14:51

Trilogy Hyaluronic Booster is good

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 01/11/2020 15:16

Thanks for the suggestions! I'm having a very pleasant potter round the interweb looking at them.

@ThatLibraryMiss, where do you get your Artichoke whatnot?

OP posts:
GrimDamnFanjo · 01/11/2020 15:44

Hada Labo premium user here too.
I'm using the COSRX whitening power liquid as my aha.
Also use Missha Time Revolution.
Kbeauty is definitely better value than western brands imho.

KnightsofColumbusThatHurt · 01/11/2020 15:59

Hada Labo Premium HA - I can't believe how much you get in the bottle as well!
The Ordinary Glycolic acid for exfoliating

ThatLibraryMiss · 01/11/2020 16:04

I got it from eBay but I'm so sorry, it seems to be out of stock there. I should have checked before I posted. This is the stuff but the shipping costs are crazy. If you find it, make sure you get the intense one not the light one.

Back to Hado Labo gold for me when this bottle's finished, I guess.

WeAreFromThePlanetDuplo · 01/11/2020 16:36

Dammit @ThatLibraryMiss, I was so close to skin perfection!Grin

BR P50 is the best exfoliator bar none. It is amazing.

Ha do labo gold is VG. I have flirted with others but looking forward to them running out so I can go back to it!

I also like a hydrating toner. Current favourite is secret key Rose starting treatment essence. Splash on before using serum.
