Honest opinions on these boots please

Wouldn’t wear boots with cropped trousers. I wear slightly cropped trousers to work all the time but wear them with brogues or smart trainers.

Try Fly London for wedged chunky brogues.

I got an inoffensive pair of navy boots from Sainsburys of all places. Cheap and really comfortable AND I wear them with a bit of ankle showing. Get me to the gallows! 🤣

Oh god don’t by anything from bloody Fly. I’ve never seen anything attractive from there although I know some people swear by them and seen convinced they are trendy.
I do have a real love affair with Zara and have a lot of their footwear. Might be worth having a look at their website.

I think Fly have some cool but comfy shoes and boots. But wedge brogues available in lots of places if you’d miss the height.

As a long time wearer of Fly boots, I can absolutely assure you that I don’t think they are trendy. I am the archetypal middle aged middle class primary school teacher. I wear Fly in the winter, and Birks in the summer.

OP, with the exception of the very dubious lightning boots, I love your taste in boots. This is not necessarily something that you would want to rely on.

I am back. In my quest I have discovered Unisa (Spanish) and Tamaris (German). They keep coming up when I search for boots with height and comfort/wide fit. Does anyone have any experience of these brands?
