Honest opinions on these boots please

To wear with navy ankle trousers. I am short so ankle boots with a higher shaft reach the bottom of my trousers and doesn't look very good: www.pikolinos.com/uk-en/llanes-w7h-8512.html?color=BRANDY

No it doesn't have to be this brand at all, but I just know that these are comfortable and decent quality. I am open to all brands, as long as it's real leather and not too narrow fit. I can't wear Timberlands for example.
ivftake1 those wouldn't work with ankle trousers as the top of the boot would reach the bottom of the trousers. I am short, just about 5.1", slim ish size 10.

See I think that's ugly bert3400. I don't like the heel. Plus the shaft is too high.

I can't link on phone but have a look at Gabor or a French called Bobbies. Personally I don't think ankle trousers go with chunky boots - you might get away with a heeled shoe with a buckle on the side (there are a few about) or a flat very low cut ankle boot but not the styles you are set on.

The style of trouser and style of boot do not go. Both are nice but not not together. I'd wear the first pair with ordinary jeans or a rustic skirt (If I wore rustic skirts) with knitted tights.

Have you looked at moshulu? I’ve had some lovely boots from them in the past.

Pikolinos are super comfortable and really well made but you do have to sift through some truly fugly styles to find the gems. They used to do gorgeous heeled brogues (I have a couple of pairs that always win me compliments), though I don't see any this season. If you find a pair you like, definitely go for it.
I love these ones, but they aren't laceup.

I would wear a 7/8 trouser with chunky boots, flat brogues/ pumps with ankle length.

pp are right op , it's not so much the boot as the boot plus ankle length trousers.
I've had the same issue this year, cropped trousers from Toast look stupid with my usual boots (similar to the ones you linked but without the hiking vibe). Flat chelsea boots look good, I think, with funky socks to fill the gap.

Do boots go with ankle length trousers? Maybe higher slim ankle boots that go inside the cuff but I can't see anything chunky looking good. The boots you've linked to would be better with a longer wide leg of some sort. Also, the contrast between the navy and the light colored boots is going to cut your legs, making them look short and squat. Go for a darker colour. I'd suggest trying oxblood.

I quite like many of their styles missmoon but the cuban heel is just not for me.

I really like the hiker boot look. I probably would opt for flat over heeled but the laces are fab!

I think any of these boots with ankle length trousers looks horrible. I hate the gap.

OP I’m afraid I agree that they’re quite uncool. I can see the look you want and I actually think the ankle gap thing is fine. I think you might want more of a heeled ‘shoe boot’? Fat Face have some nice leather ones...
