Winter boots red laces

I am looking for some brown winter boots with red laces. Sort of like a hiking boot style but quite as utilitarian. Sort of cross between hiking boots and winter vans. I want to wear with jeans and dungarees.

All the ones I can find are very expensive or a previous years stock.

I don't really want to pay much more than £150.

Many thanks

Find the right boots and then buy red laces?

oiboi · 22/10/2020 16:36

Hmm, that never occurred to me Grin
Ok any help on brown boots with the raised loop eyelets. Tan brown?

I got these sorel boots for a trip to Iceland and wear them most winter. They're not brown but they are comfy and not quite toooooo walking boot.

Skechers have lovely chestnut brown hiking type boots. Think they are £70 or less. And you could buy the red laces.

oiboi · 22/10/2020 17:08

All really good options.

I particularly like the sketchers ones butt he sole is white, do we think it'll just look really grubby quickly?

Sorrel have a few nice boots but can't decide if the lines are as clean as I wanted.

I have a slightly different style of Skechers boots with a white sole. They seem to be holding up well so far, and I live in the country where its frequently wet and muddy!

oiboi · 22/10/2020 19:28

It's ones like these I really want - I realise it's a really poor photo and I think they are hiking boots but I really like the style.

luggageandbags · 22/10/2020 20:09

I have these Gabor Women's Valley Ankle Boots https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07Q32WVL4/ref=cmswwrcppapiii_-PDKFbTN29H5G
They're amazing. Look fab and really comfortable.

oiboi · 22/10/2020 20:49

I appreciate all the help. I think the clarks are too walking boot and the others not enough Blush
Yup, I'm annoying myself!

Look for Danner Mountain Light dupes. Danner are like the Rolls Royce of vintage style leather hiking boots.

spacemask · 22/10/2020 21:09

Yep, they look like danner mountain light. The money you spend will depend on weather you just want them to look the part or if you want them to be the part too. The danner boots will last you a life time (or so I'm lead to believe!).

spacemask · 22/10/2020 21:11

*led

dudsville · 22/10/2020 21:13

Grenson nanette? I just bought a pair for £179, nearly half price. You could easily buy some red laces.

oiboi · 22/10/2020 21:19

Ooh yes! Danner is totally what I want, wow you guys are good.

But look at the price Shock

MrDarcysMa · 22/10/2020 21:21

Probably grensons?
You can buy desperate red laces for any boots though.
Have a look on ASOS they have lots of cheaper versions of grenadine type boots.

spacemask · 22/10/2020 21:25

When I was looking for something in this style I also liked the Fracaps hiking boot. But again, crazy expensive (although cheaper than the Danner boots!).

BaseDrops · 22/10/2020 21:29

Timberlands? www.timberland.co.uk/shop/en/tbl-uk/women-footwear-boots

Whatthebloodyell · 22/10/2020 21:30

Timberlands with your own laces?

oiboi · 22/10/2020 21:31

The fracap and grensons are fab too. So I've now got 3 fabulous options, 3 times the price I wanted to spend. Can anyone say if they think it's worth the money? Or shall I get the sketchers version and a pair of winter vans for about £120 for both?
