Work out leggings and knickers

Which brand is the best to wear without too much of an ugly vpn?

I’m not a thong wearer but would prefer that over no knickers. A friend doesn’t wear any pants to the gym except when she’s on her period....nope I cannot do that!

Just regular briefs or boy shorts but then again I’m short and most of my tops cover my bum.

gymbummy · 20/10/2020 16:37

In bright sunshine in certain gym classes with certain exercises with my head near someone else's bum (social distancing might be a bonus here...), I can confirm, knickers are required under leggings.

gymbummy · 20/10/2020 16:38

I didn't actually answer your question, I have just realised. I don't know what knickers are best but I would prefer VPL to the alternative

AriettyHomily · 20/10/2020 16:40

Please wear knickers, you don't have to view your own bum. Vpl is preferable,

The inky truly squatproof leggings I've got are fabletics

GirlCrush · 20/10/2020 16:43

Commando all the way for me!!

Sorry

I prefer to run though

Inaquandry19 · 20/10/2020 16:44

Tikiboo are great. I wear tesco seam free pants underneath.

UserUnavailable · 20/10/2020 16:45

VPN...I meant vpl haha.

God no way am I thinking of going pantsless! No I don’t want to see anyone’s butt hole and I don’t want mine on display or a camel foot. I guess M&S will be a good start for some no vpl pants. Never had a need for them as I’m usually in jeans or loose clothing.

I wear m and s no value pants. They're a,so quite sweat wicking. Don't wear cotton knickers.

gindinner · 20/10/2020 16:49

No vpl pants.

gindinner · 20/10/2020 16:50

I once saw a woman running. You could see her bum cheeks through her leggings with every stride.

GirlCrush · 20/10/2020 16:50

No value pants?

Camels FOOT?

GirlCrush · 20/10/2020 16:51

@gindinner ha! Well I don’t care what people can see. I’m that fast I’m not still long enough to see much anyway Grin

HelpMeh · 20/10/2020 16:56

Another one here to say you need no vpl type shorts. I don't care about the vpl bit, but they're smooth and more comfortable. Ideally you want maximum bum cheek coverage to stop you getting a wedgie.

doadeer · 20/10/2020 17:14

I'm in the no knicker camp but I buy really nice thick leggings from fabletics or sweaty betty. To be honest... I'm sure noone is looking, just wear what you're comfortable in.

UserUnavailable · 20/10/2020 17:20

Yes I would have a camels foot problem not toe, if I went commando Grin. I’m a big lady hence the need to exercise

I think uniqlo do good seamless knickers

Goingdooolally · 20/10/2020 17:30

Sweaty Betty bikini style pants are great.

naemates · 20/10/2020 17:30

I wear huge Bridget Jones hold-me-in pants to stop the jiggling, VPL is the lesser of two evils in my opinion

StarlightLady · 20/10/2020 17:38

I wear seam free thick legginngs and no knickers to the gym; more comfortable. You mention you don’t want to do that. OK, l get that. But what l don’t get is why are you worried about a knicker line showing in the gym? All a knicker line means is that you have got knickers on, which you have chosen to do.

movingonup20 · 20/10/2020 17:45

I prefer to have the secret absorbent layer myself so I have modibodi - exercise is a bit risky without for me

It has taken me a long to get the courage to go to a gym. I am quite large and have always worn loose clothes. Wearing tight leggings hugging my jiggling arse is making be a bit nervous and I don’t want to make myself even more uncomfortable by wearing huge knickers. I thought getting leggings will be make me feel more like ‘gym like’ but I should probably get some harem trousers or joggers instead.

Anyway thanks all.

Why not wear shorts over your legging? It's what some ladies do at my gym.

BoulangerieBabs · 20/10/2020 17:58

I just wear ordinary big pants and don't worry about vpl, someone staring at my arse because they can see the outline of my pants is their issue not mine.

Tanaqui · 20/10/2020 18:01

Gap have okay exercise knickers, but if you have the cash, runderwear are great! I had some as a present so don't know where would stock them though.
