My Stitch Fix box arrived today! Mixed bag. I asked for working from home clothes, and specifically asked for a snuggly cardigan and either jeans, culottes or cord dungarees. I also suggested a shirt but not white.
What I got was 2 jumpers, jeans, navy culottes and a black pussybow blouse. I like the 2 jumpers - in fact, one of them is the Whistles Annie sparkly knit, which I already own in 2 colours! I’m not at all keen on the jeans - they’re £79, heavy stretch denim and a lowish rise girlfriend cut, and they’re slightly too big and don’t do me any favours. They’re also a brand I’ve never heard of (Liverpool Los Angeles?) and I’m not a fan of the indigo wash either.
I quite like the culottes but this stylist’s idea of wfh clothes is totally different to mine - I would actually probably like them a lot if I was going into work, but I’m just not, and they are very office-wear. My wfh involves being jumped on by a muddy puppy! Ditto for the blouse - it’s a nice blouse (All Saints) but it gapes over my boobs and it’s £98 and it’s actually smarter than I would have worn to the office, so I certainly won’t wear it at home!
I’m miffed that in her stylist’s note, she uses the first paragraph to ask why I didn’t like the last box and encourages me to give feedback. I gave as much feedback as I could fit in the space allowed! She clearly hasn’t read it. And then she says that she’s sorry she couldn’t find me a cardigan but here are 2 jumpers instead - it is literally her job to find cardigans! And it’s not hard - I have a nice one in my favourites on ASOS this minute! I am going to buy the 2 jumpers and then cancel my subscription - it might work well if you don’t like shopping but I really do.
