I've recently started to make a bit more of an effort re my appearance and so far have bought Sweaty Betty yoga pants, a top from Whistles and an electronic pelvic floor exerciser on recommendation from this (wonderful) board.

What have you bought having seen it mentioned here and are you pleased with it? Thrilled with mine!

It was Mumsnet that started my interest in skincare.

My fav purchase recommendation is a silicone pot scraper

A while back I saw topic about clothes and the importance of trying something new. At first I was hesitant but decided to go with it. I decided to get This natural linen kimono (totally out of my style), but I'm so happy I did! It's so comfortable and I'm looking forward to warmer weather so I can wear it again.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 06/10/2020 11:04

Loads of things

Method cleaner (love it)
Jojoba oil to donoil cleansing (made my skin awful)
Superdrug vit E range (was average)
Some serum for pores (pretty crap)
A make up bag (never used it)
Vitamins to make hair grow (never took them)
Garlic peeler and crusher(quite good)
A French connection couch ( I hate the fucker)
Pregnancy belly band (expensive and now I have it i realise it is pointless for me)
Frozen mash from tesco (best thing ever)

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 06/10/2020 11:06

Also body brushes (i forget to use them everytime)
Skinny tan (still haven't used it because I can't stand the smell while pregnant)

Sorry I realise some of the last post weren't style and beauty items.

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 06/10/2020 11:07

Oh aveda tinted moisturiser (love that)

Iminaglasscaseofemotion · 06/10/2020 11:08

Bobbi brown tinted moisturiser (absolutely shit)

LaBellina · 06/10/2020 11:08

I saw a lot of fuss over Radley London bags (MN-ers saying they're distasteful etc.). I didn't know the brand but had gotten curious so checked their website to see what these awful bags looked like. Appearently I have bad taste (at least in bags) because I loved them and currently awaiting my order from them to arrive Grin

LaBellina · 06/10/2020 11:10

Oh and bought a shopping bag with William Morris print from Museum Selection since I saw that website mentioned on the Old Lady Style thread.

Atalune · 06/10/2020 11:23

mayflowerapplepie · 07/10/2020 10:19

Dettol washing sanitiser
Otherwise I just look with longing from afar at all the things I could possibly get shipped over but probably shouldn’t

Notverybright - I saw on their FB page a disabled model wearing Snag tights in bright pink - she looked great!

Lucy and Yak - not sure I'd wear their dungarees but my DM was bought some by my DBro and DSIL and she loves them and plans to buy some as a present for her young mum DNeighbour who's been really kind and helpful to her recently, lucky neighbour!

Oysho are great have got a few nightwear and sports wear stuff of theirs either bought online or when in Spain/Canaries.

Notverybright · 07/10/2020 17:03

CleverCatty we’ve got pretty similar taste then Grin

Your mum sounds lovely, wish I was her neighbour.

AbstractDot · 07/10/2020 20:44

So much...

Lumea - disappointing but persevering
Babyliss Big Hair - love for the ends of hair
Remington Hot Air Styler - love for main dry
Veja Trainers - love but taking some 'wearing in'
Korean Italy Cloths - I've always been able to do this just by rubbing with my hands and creating the friction, didn't realise til I bought them what they would do
Footner - love the peel
Laura Mercier Tightliner - love it
Hourglass palette - not that special
Kerastase Shampoo - perhaps not the right one for my hair, will try others
Silk Pillowcase - haven't noticed anything amazing so want a Silke turban though I accept results may take a very long time!
Essie Nail Polish in Ballet Slippers - LOVE
Nivea Water Gel SPF 50 - wear daily, no issues with make up
Isle of Paradise Tanning Drops - prefer my Ambre Solaire gradual tanner, same effect for less. Prefer a different full on fake tan.
Wilko Mascaras - led me to the 'I need a miracle' one which I'm loving for its tinting after effects
The Ordinary - I've used much more expensive ranges and love the full customisation of routine with free advice via email.
Aldis Pixi Glow Tonic Dupe - unsure if it's doing anything spectacular
Aldis rosehip oil as couldn't get TO rosehip oil - may be breaking me out but tbc
John Frieda Luxurious Volume Wash-in and rinse lotion - LOVE

Still want...
Frog Prince Lipstick
Silke Turban
Silke hair ties

Send cash help!!!

AbstractDot · 07/10/2020 20:46
