Show us your loungewear

So, in anticipation of spending lots of time in my house this winter hanging out, drinking wine and watching TV, I have decided to buy some loungewear.

I was going to splash out a bit on something fancy but was just in Asda and quite taken aback by some of their slouchy stuff.

I just bought this and wish I had bought a few others. [https://direct.asda.com/george/women/nightwear-slippers/cream-super-soft-straight-fit-lounge-joggers/GEM777299,default,pd.html?cgid=D1M1G20C18&placement_id=GRGTOP&strategy=bab_v2&config_id=GRGTOP&product_id=GEM777299&parent_item_id=GEM777296 this]]

The picture doesn't do it justice TBH. It is super soft, like cashmere. I loves it I do.

Come on, show us your loungewear. Or, what you have our eye on.

£80 for a pair of trousers to sit around the house?! Must have more money than sense!

WokesFromHome · 25/09/2020 17:18

Good job I went for the Asda one then BigFart instead of The White Company one I had my eye on. Wink

Ha ha! That's my husband's clothing budget for a year.

lightsoutminty · 25/09/2020 19:03

@AllGongNoDinner those are gorgeous! And if you've got the money to spend then good for you Smile

XingMing · 25/09/2020 19:58

I don't have loungewear, because I'm 64. I wear jeans all day with a jumper, or joggers before going in the shower in the morning.

I bought some cotton Adidas three stripe leggings a few weeks ago and I’m sad whenever they have to go in the wash. They are so comfy, and such better quality than the usual disposable Primark ones I get.

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/09/2020 20:02

leggings

ThursdayLastWeek · 25/09/2020 20:03

I think you are allowed to wear loungewear at 64. Should you wish.

XingMing · 25/09/2020 20:12

Thanks Thursday, but I choose not to. I walk every day (young large dog) and do exercise classes. Showing off my fitness is as much a statement of personal pride at 64 as it was at 24. Just, the body isn't quite as gorgeous as it used to be. But, it serves me well enough.

FreeButtonBee · 25/09/2020 20:13

I have a pair of Gary pants. They are Uber flattering and very comfy. Well worth it (and i bout them with a discount code). They come up slightly on the large side if anyone is interested

I have also embraced sewing and made myself the most amazing pair of enormous swingy pants. They will do double duty of being wearable in bed/lounging plus perfect for putting on after swimming or general North Atlantic beach activity in The summer. So long as I don’t eat enough crisps to grow out of them!

I also bought an incredibly loud bright red fleecy hoodie. So cosy but not so good on zoom!

XingMing · 25/09/2020 20:16

And, at 64, I notice that a few easy days really show on my body, so I am cross when the dog needs a rest.

Yes, why so many pale colours in loungewear? I want some comfy trousers to wear while working from home in winter, but I have my lunch in front of the TV and I'd get egg yolk and Diet Coke down myself.
copperoliver · 25/09/2020 22:28

Sweaty Betty Gary pants or hush cropped bottoms and hush wide jersey top. X

dudsville · 25/09/2020 22:50

I bought a onesy (hear me out) from misguided (just hang on) it's sweatshirt material and style with a hoodie, pockets, and is nipped in at the waist in a cute way. I found it whilst googling onesies after a mumsnetter had got me thinking about them. At £25 I thought it was worth a try. The sleeves are nice and long too.

fairlygoodmother · 25/09/2020 22:55

Sweaty Betty Garys here too, although I wear the cropped ones because I’m short.

UgaBaluga82 · 25/09/2020 23:01

Slouch n Glam trousers all the way. Elasticated waistband and pockets; plus smart enough to be seen in public wearing them...

Sweaty Betty cropped Gary's are what I've been living in too! Yes, before lockdown I would have baulked at the price too but not paying train fare means I had spare money. They have paid for themselves on pay per wear, I wear them to WFH, to go on walks, to go to the shop, camping... Comfy, wash well and more flattering and look more stylish than leggings.

Jumbojem · 25/09/2020 23:06

I've seen fleece Gary's advertised... I'm tempted!Grin

Neolara · 25/09/2020 23:10

I bought those Gary joggers and they just looked weird on me. Didn't sit well at all so returned them. Was sad as had thought they would be lovely. They were also very thin, summer weight really.

JustAddCoffee91 · 25/09/2020 23:11

@WokesFromHome
My sister has these she said they are really see through...
I'd still buy them tho they are lovely x
