A 'how many do you own' question

How many pairs of jeans do you own and similarly how many coats or jackets do you have and do you wear them all or are you like me and can't bear to part with them for some unknown reason ( probably coat separation anxiety )

I only own 2 pairs of jeans. I could do with possibly getting another 2 pairs though. But then again, I don't wear jeans much. I have 4 coats and alot of jackets. The coats and jackets do get worn a lot though.

I have 4 pairs of jeans: 2 pairs of raw denim craft-made jeans (Blackhorse Lane Ateliers & Huit Denim) in different styles, a cream selvedge pair (limited run from Huit Denim) and a cheap pair of cream jeans from Arket.

I have too many jackets and coats to count. Many many many jackets and coats. I do wear them all but usually have a few favourites on the go. No need for formal work jackets or coats in these Covid times but everything else gets plenty of wear, especially now it's getting colder.

I honestly don't know how many pairs of jeans I own. Far too many but in winter and much of autumn and spring I wear nothing else. It may be as many as 30 pairs to allow for different sizes and lengths and styles. I plan to cull them when I do my big putting away and getting out clothes switch over when the weather turns.

Coats: I have 4 I wear, 1 I can't throw away because I love it so much and several jackets eg leather, puffer. But in reality I don't go out much and I doubt I will wear one this winter. When I had a job I rotated my coats and loved wearing them.

About 10 pairs of jeans, all cheaper high waist skinnies or M&S jeggings- for some reason they fit me best!

Probably the same number of jackets. All worn depending on outfit and weather. And two long winter puffa coats, one tatty and one everyday decent.

I have two pairs of jeans, one blue, one grey. Probably need another.

I have a rain coat/mac, a cooler weather coat for days like today (12c and damp) and a proper winter coat for when it gets properly cold. I also have a fancy wool wrap coat thata worn very seldom and a full on 1980s Delboy sheepskin that I haven't worn in about 2 years.

So I have two pairs of jeans that are nice. I have other pairs that no longer look right since I got older and am about to sell them on eBay.

I am thinking two pairs should be enough ? I always have too much of everything and seriously need to have a clear out especially the coats...

I had a clear-out in lockdown. I got rid of eleven pairs, none of which fitted properly, and most had holes in! I hate getting rid of clothes - it makes me all fidgety. They weren't comfortable and I hadn't worn them for months, but it was still a wrench to let them go.

Now I have two blue pairs, three black and one grey. Between them, they go with every top I own and I wear them all the time.

I wish I was like @HundredMilesAnHour. Many of my jeans are eBay/vintage/ second hand. None were paid full retail price and collected over many years

Me too. I am going to start running again from today onwards. I might even be able to fit into my other jeans again.

4 jeans (1 dark blue,1 dusky pink, 2 grey)
6 coats (2 winter, 3 spring/summer, one wool smart).

Lots of jeans, I have a major thing about coats..I love them. Last winter I got into buying sheepskin on ebay (it's so cheap there) and bought a couple of things that I love. I love a flying jacket.

I'm waiting for it to get colder so I can wear them again.

Love a leather jacket too.

I own one pair of jeans, two pairs of jeggings (navy and mushroom), two biker jackets (pink and caramel), two longish 'suede look' coats (grey and fawn).

I have a dress pattern which I've used ten times (now rather fragile) to make summer dresses in different fabrics. I'm frugal and like things to last and to get my moneys worth.

3 pairs of jeans that I wear, possibly 10 more that I don't

4 jackets/coats that I wear, maybe 5 more that I don't.

This is the thing... the ones I don't wear I can't bear to part with and I do not know why.. I wish I did :) It's probably some sort of clothes syndrome :)

Coats / Jackets - 4 (1 smart wool winter coat, 2 puffas, 1 waterproof north face jacket)
I hate having loads of stuff. Minimal all the way.

I pair of levi jeans.
6 coats/jackets (waterproof, windproof, leather jacket, down gilet, wool duffle, parka)

No jeans. I don't wear denim.
Coats - a few, four smarter wool coats, a couple of lighter velvet coats, a waxed waterproof, a lighter Macintosh type coat. A couple of walking coats. A couple of evening coats.
Jackets about a dozen work, tailored blazer types, a couple of more casual jackets for throwing over a dress or trousers, if its a bit cooler but not needing a coat. A couple of evening jackets.

45-50 pairs

Only 2 fit

5 jeans (and 2 pairs I plan to sell)

1 gorgeous mac

8 ish jackets

6 proper wool coats

Correction:

9 jackets (not including suit type blazers)

About fifteen pairs of jeans.
A similar number of jackets.

I love these threads.
I have 3 pairs of jeans, I’m not a lover of jeans so hardly wear them.
As for coats I tend to wear the same ones so 3 best winter ones including one which doesn’t fit.
One very comfortable practical warm one as well.
One full in waterproof wind proof affair.
Another thin waterproof one.
A leather jacket
A couple of smart blazers.
I also have a cardigan coat and a big knitted scarf type thing dh bought me but it’s not very practical as it’s not waterproof.

Maybe 6 pairs of jeans? But they are all different eg pale blue salvedge skinnies, mid rinse mom jeans, white cropped, black high waist etc

Coats/jackets, no idea. I live in a hot country so have no need for either although I’m sure I have a load somewhere in my mum’s loft.
