Trainers to go with dresses

What are the best trainers to wear with dresses? Also colour, I'm assuming white is most versatile but how do you keep them white?!

I want to know this too!

Fidgety31 · 14/09/2020 16:38

I don’t think any trainers go with dresses.
But I guess I’m in the minority !

AvonCallingBarksdale · 14/09/2020 16:39

I wear a white Adidas shell toe or a Veja.

ElectricEels · 14/09/2020 16:40

@AvonCallingBarksdale

I wear a white Adidas shell toe or a Veja.
I've heard that Veja trainers aren't very comfy- is that your experience?

I like superga

CleverCatty · 14/09/2020 16:57

I wear Stan Smiths - either white or the green and white classic.

I spray them with stain repellant/protector and machine wash or whatever to keep them clean.

YellowandGreenToBeSeen · 14/09/2020 16:59

White Stan Smiths or I’ve got some very chunky Calvin Kleins. They’re Balenciaga rip offs for a fraction of the price.

itbemay1 · 14/09/2020 17:02

Air and grace Smile

Lottapianos · 14/09/2020 17:05

What sort of dress are you thinking of? I wear Adidas Superstars (white and orange), Adidas Gazelles (green) or Adidas Sambas (neon pink)

dannydyerismydad · 14/09/2020 17:08

Adidas sleek or samba.

Sleek are narrow on the toes though - go up half a size.

Dillo10 · 14/09/2020 17:25

A pair of Veja V10s every time

ElectricEels · 14/09/2020 18:08

Loads to look at, thank you all!

I like the Sezane ecru smooth leather jack trainers

frogswimming · 14/09/2020 18:55

White Stan smith / superga 2750

BigRedBoat · 14/09/2020 20:05

I have some cheap matalan plain white trainers - elbow grease (the cleaning product not the technique!) cleans them up nicely.

RudeAF · 14/09/2020 20:08

My preference is my Gazelles as they are slim and not too chunky soled.

RunningFromInsanity · 14/09/2020 20:10

I have these black ones which I wear with any black grey silver dress.
Super comfy and look pretty too.

DD (15) has asked for white Nike Airforce for Christmas. Her friends all wear them with shorts/skirts/leggings but also with little tight denim dresses and sort of floral mini dresses. They also wear them with bodycon ultra tight dresses and denim jackets. I’ve said categorically no to that bit.

Sandytoes86 · 14/09/2020 20:20

I got some And/Or flatform trainers from John Lewis recently which I think would look really nice with dresses and they are leather and very comfortable

AvonCallingBarksdale · 14/09/2020 20:48

@ElectricEels honestly I don’t find the Vejas as comfy as my Adidas. I’ve worn shell toes for years. A friend bought some Vejas and I really liked the look of them Grin

Rollergirl11 · 14/09/2020 21:33

I have some Veja Campo and find them really comfy, although the tongue is quite long.

notinthestarsigns · 14/09/2020 21:34

I wear trainers with dresses in the summer but as soon as it is cold enough for tights I will wear boots as I’m not keen on tights and trainers.

ReviewingTheSituation · 14/09/2020 21:41

I wear white Adidas with dresses. But I'm now wondering about tights/trainer combos. Any words of wisdom on that front? Thinking about a pair of Adidas gazelles, but not sure about wearing with tights...

Verite1 · 14/09/2020 23:11

White Stan Smiths. Classic.
