Really missing the stylish chat from the MN Voguers. Where have you all gone? Can we set up a new thread? Flowers

I should add that I was a fairly infrequent poster on Mumsnet Vogue. Loved the chat and style musings from the very stylish participants. Am saddened that this long running thread has come to such an abrupt end. I hope you are all well and still as fabulous as ever Flowers

I'd been wondering about it too. I didn't post on it but I used to dip in and out and enjoyed the mix of styles. No idea what happened but it seemed to peter out during lockdown. I've not seen any of the regular posters around either.

schmalex · 13/09/2020 12:28

Me too! I used to lurk on it and really miss it. I have new Stuart Weitzman boots arriving this week and nobody to tell.

LoveFromDeauville · 13/09/2020 13:51

Such a pity and a real loss to MN.

Perhaps we should resurrect it another guise Wink. I’m busy trying to decide on a coat for the new season. Weighing up whether to go for MaxMara or something a little less classic.

You can tell us schmalex Smile

I'd been wondering where the mnvogue thread had gone too. I haven't dipped into it for a very long time but used to seeing it come up when I browse s&b. It's been on the go a long time such a shame to see it go, hope everyone's ok

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 06:18

I know. shopafrolic and Marshabradyo were very regular contributors. I guess lockdown has changed shopping habits though it was far more than just shopping to me. I miss them!

Do you think they've gone over to Netmums? Shock

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 08:08

I can’t see that happening. Some of them still here, they’re just no longer Vogueing. Shock

Yes! It is a loss. I'm and erratic poster and dipper-in but I did enjoy the thread. When I first joined MN there was a long running thread about fashion, something like 'buying less but better' or 'buying wise', it was a really active thread and loads of excellent chat and discussion, and plenty of links.

@LoveFromDeauville Maxmara is the dream.

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 09:25

Yes indeed. That was the Wise and Avid series many years ago, of which MNV was a spin-off. Some wonderful women.

CatherineTheNotSoGreat yes am leaning towards MM but am also trying to be a bit more edgy and the two don’t really go hand in hand Wink

Have a look at Sportmax, it's Max Mara but their fashion forward line which marries a bit of both.

I quite like this coat of theirs atm but potentially that's too out there if Max Mara classic is your usual comfort zone.

Ellewoods20 · 14/09/2020 10:44

I loved the mumsnet vogue thread. I never posted on it as I can't afford the same styles but it was great to read. Love The MaxMara coats are a dream. You should get one if you can afford it. Schmalex I would love to see your Stuart Weitzman boots.

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 10:47

Hi Ellewoods20 - certainly some of the more prolific posters seemed to have infinite budgets but many had more realistic spending limits. For me, I have a few designer pieces but I don’t have loads to spend and like to get bargains. Smile

OP posts:
Ellewoods20 · 14/09/2020 10:51

Love I didn't mean that in a bad way so sorry if it came across like that! Although I can't afford some of the same items, I still love seeing people buy them. I also own a few low end designer items and I'm a bargain hunter too 😊 much rather have fewer high quality items that last.

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 10:56

Not at all, did not take any offence!

I miss it too. I picked up some Legres ankle boots in a sale - I think @marshabradyos has them. They are very plain, black, flat.

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 16:54

Oooh they sound fab! libertyonhertravels is another one I miss. Always liked the sound of her chic pared back style.

I used to really enjoy Blingygolightly's links. (Think that's the correct name?) - a very different style and budget from mine but that was why I liked to look. And Ambernectarine had some fabulous clothes, although I hadn't seen her around for a long time.

Anyway I hope all is well with them if they still walk among us.

LoveFromDeauville · 14/09/2020 22:13

Oh yes Blingy was something to behold with her links...

I was very close to going to a MNV meet-up with them a few years ago but never made it.

Also maradebois and the one whose name I can’t recall but she was quirky and cool with band T-shirts and cardigans and doc martins - please come back !

schmalex · 15/09/2020 07:11

I love that coat @botemp! Sadly out of my budget now I've splurged on boots. They're arriving today Grin

PatsyPet · 15/09/2020 07:20

Maybe we should start our own chat? Outfit of the day anyone? I’m wfh and I have on some olive green J crew slim fit joggers, heat tech black top and a black sweatshirt with writing on it that I got from the Outnet. Going to put on common projects black leather trainers when I leave the house.

I love that max mara coat too. Anything Max Mara has been great cost per wear for me. I had a black MM mainline dress that has finally worn out/threadbare this year. Also max mara weekend and the other diffusion lines have been good value to me.

My friend got the classic max mara wrap coat in black last year. So elegant, it lifts her look effortlessly.

I miss old Jaeger. What do you think has replaced it?
