Strange question, but what colour is my son's hair?

DH and I can’t work it out! Blond, brown, slightly ginger - it looks like all of those, usually at the same time 😆

What colour is it??

@catnoir1

He's ash blonde
No it's far too red to be ash toned.

I'd say a warm mousey brown, which is what I have/had.

goose1964 · 10/09/2020 22:14

I'd say mousy. Sorry

Kaktus · 10/09/2020 22:15

@goose1964

I'd say mousy. Sorry
Confused why are you sorry?
unmarkedbythat · 10/09/2020 22:30

Dark blonde to light brown. Nice!

Wbeezer · 10/09/2020 22:36

As a mother of redheads that's not ginger! I'd say warm light brown, DS 3 is the odd one out in our family and he has a slight reddish cast in places in the sun but stand him next o his redheaded brothers and he definitely isn't!

Wavescrashingonthebeach · 10/09/2020 22:37

Blonde.

Whether mousey blonde, ash blonde, strawberry blonde or any other shade of blonde you want to call it, it's still beautiful Smile

DameHannahRelf · 10/09/2020 22:39

Dark blonde?

Paddingtonthebear · 10/09/2020 22:40

Blonde

Paddingtonthebear · 10/09/2020 22:42

User27aw · 10/09/2020 22:43

Light brown. It will go a lot darker though over the years.

AmICrazyorWhat2 · 10/09/2020 23:32

Seeing the latest photos I so want to give him a cuddle! My children are so big now (15&12) and I haven’t cuddled a little one for ages.😍

Only my slightly smelly dog.🤣

StCharlotte · 10/09/2020 23:32

I'd say light brown.

Derailing slightly, my older sister was talking about my "fair hair" the other day. I'd completely forgotten such a thing existed! Does anyone have fair hair now? I suppose it's just called blonde now?

Sorry, as you were...

Whatthebloodyell · 10/09/2020 23:44

Funnily enough StCharlotte I was going to say ‘fair’!

PerfidiousAlbion · 10/09/2020 23:53

Dark golden blonde.

mumfordofsons · 10/09/2020 23:56

Dark blonde or light brown now, if it's anything like DDs who was very similar at that age it could end up darker, she's now very definitely a brunette.

ThanksForAllTheFish · 11/09/2020 00:48

I would say it’s dirty fair (dark blond/light brown).
My DD has very similar coloured hair (she’s 10 now) her hair was very dark brown when she was born and it fell out and went this colour.
Her hair gets blonde tones, like natural highlights, in the summer when there’s more sunshine and darker in the winter and looks almost brown at times. She also has the same red tones as your son does but they are only apparent in some light (camera flash is good at picking them up). Her eyebrows are also more of a gingery blond rather than brown.

I’m a natural ginger and DH was white blonde as a child but his hair turned brown as a teen.

Slinkymalinky1 · 11/09/2020 00:54

Mousy brown. It's my natural colour. I was blonde as a kid and went darker as I got older

Grellbunt · 11/09/2020 00:56

Beautiful!

DramaAlpaca · 11/09/2020 00:59

Dark blonde. Two of my sons were this colour until their early teens. DS1 is now light brown and DS3 is mid-brown.

TinkersTailor · 11/09/2020 01:02

Dark blonde I'd say. He looks young though so it's liable to change. It's a beautiful colour.

DD was very fair (it was white!) when she was small and now her hair is a golden dark blonde.

MyNameIsAlexDrake · 11/09/2020 01:29

I don't see any red in those photos at all. I'd say he's dark blonde / light brown. My son had an almost exact shade as yours around the same age. When he was first born he was very dark brown, then it lighten to almost blond and stayed mid colour until 3/4 yo. He's now dark brown again (but lightens in the sun)

CharitySchmarity · 11/09/2020 07:35

I would call it light brown - blond(e) to me is more yellowy than this.

Catapultme · 11/09/2020 08:02

Before I clicked I guessed mousy Grin Or call it light brown if you prefer

TableNiner · 11/09/2020 09:34

Dark blonde. May lighten in the summer.

CorianderLord · 11/09/2020 09:45

Dirty/dark blonde. Likely to become brown as he gets older
