What footwear do you wear with jeans if not flip flops or winter boots

I have summer and winter sorted, but not autumn and spring. I suspect the answer to this is trainers, but not nikes - is lifestyle trainers a new phrase I have learnt today?

Any other type of shoe? brogues are work shoes to me, and its a no to ballet flats. I also get cold feet easily...

I wear Superga trainers/plimsoles in the inbetween months.

I have a white pair & a navy pair. I tend to wear the white ones with black jeans & the navy ones with blue jeans.

Ginfordinner · 05/09/2020 14:18

Why not Nike?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 05/09/2020 14:56

Trainers - Adidas Stan Smiths or Continental 80s. I have black, and white SS, and black, and grey C80s. Chelsea boots. DM Church monkey boots - I have these in black, and oxblood.

Pipandmum · 05/09/2020 14:58

Sandals. Ballet flats. Espadrilles. Plimsoles.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 05/09/2020 15:35

I wear a chunky flat shoe from Clark's or off white Adidas superstars.. I'm 55

fartyface · 05/09/2020 15:37

@Ginfordinner

Why not Nike?
they are the wrong type of style, a bit sporty frumpy with jeans

I got some nike recently - They were Nike Court and looked more like vans. Nike logo was black on black and they had gold stripes by laces. Really comfy.

InOtterNews · 05/09/2020 16:06

As well as supergra I wear these

In pale grey

hammeringinmyhead · 05/09/2020 16:55

Ankle boots - Dr Martens, Grenson Nanettes. And black leather Converse, burgundy suede Converse, Vans hi tops. I don't ever wear white trainers in autumn. Too much mud.

frogswimming · 05/09/2020 18:51

Stan smiths.

fluffi · 05/09/2020 19:03

Converse or heels.

LadyCatStark · 05/09/2020 22:43

I just wear Vans all year round 😂

JaceLancs · 05/09/2020 23:02

Toms
Vans
Trainers
I also wear pointy flats but no good if you get cold

IndecentFeminist · 05/09/2020 23:28

I bought a pair of superstars in eBay for £5 something, in excellent condition. Worth a look

IndecentFeminist · 05/09/2020 23:29

But there are a lot of different Nikes, look at a few styles. I am coveting a pair of either all black, or black with gold air force ones.

Ginfordinner · 05/09/2020 23:43

Nikes are frumpy?
Really?

PickAChew · 05/09/2020 23:45

I do wear nikes with mine. Or leather ankle boots if wet and I'm not walking too far. I have atrocious feet and need the support.

PickAChew · 05/09/2020 23:46

And I only wear white footwear in summer, when it's dry. Far too muddy around here for anything pale in the autumn.

Ginfordinner · 06/09/2020 07:04

Same here PickAChew

fartyface · 06/09/2020 07:15

@Ginfordinner

Nikes are frumpy? Really?
No. The nikes I have look wrong with the jeans I have. Nike are not overall frumpy.

Some really good suggestion. I am liking the pumas a lot.

Thanks
