What happened to the latest thread? Why was it taken down? Wondering now if one of her crew are admin on here lol

Maybe MHS has brought Susie over to the dark side. Susie has never been shy about talking about how she wants to grow her business empire and take it global. She was also always talking about copywriting and trademarking stuff. And then she launched her own line of tacky branded clothing 🙄

MHS could be insisting that she push on and be brutal in her business basically pissing off and binning off existing and loyal customers in exchange for new ones that will pay more. But I am yet to understand how this will work as Susie got rid of her most loyal fan base that did the marketing for her. It's madness. I think the only one winning here is MHS because Susie is paying her bills. But at the cost of Susie's business. Once this relationship is over MHS will just plow on with someone else and have no loyalty or consideration for Susie because 'it's just business'

I don’t understand all this “I hope Susie is ok” and “this must be so difficult for her”. Yes, I had some sympathy in the beginning because I feel she’s been advised terribly, but she’s had time to fix issues (actually take responsibility for the negative feedback for example) and has done nothing.
She’s made these decisions. It’s on her.

@Geggs I can't speak for others but I do hope Susie is okay - mentally. She has spoken openly about her struggles with anxiety. I said this because she has been so quiet for a couple of weeks.

As for the business decisions, I agree with you. And I don't blame the Hustle woman for all of it because so much of this happened before the announcements - mistakes with analyses, refusal to engage with complaints, claiming they offer a tailored service when it is anything but. But lately, she has been given atrocious advice from someone who seems inexperienced.

The thing is with MHS because she's shifted Susie over to a paying platform that was never there before, she will be able to claim that she generated £XXXX amount of revenue for SBS by introducing Patreon & Discord.

There will never be a mention of how much revenue she caused SBS to lose from her business beforehand because she'll word it to her advantage. So when she's looking to get more clients she'll use the SBS example as a positive case study to make her look good anyway.

The harsh reality of being self employed is that, no matter how much you want to give responsibility over to paid experts, if things go wrong they will walk away with their pay cheque and you will be left with the consequences for your business. Susie has taken bad advice, but she should have known that customers are at the heart of her business and used that awareness to tell MHS to take a hike when she started suggesting absurd things.

I’m one of those that does hope Suzy is ok. These things spiral out of control. I agree she could and should have done things differently but I still wish her well.

The silence strategy doesn’t seem to be working too well though. Look at Mother and Father of daughters. Career (well Instagram) suicide.

SBS if you’re reading....speak out. Defend your business.

Emily has liked a comment on her post where someone says they couldn’t support the way SBS treated their customers “and clearly you don’t either”. So no secret there about the reasons for the departure!

Yes, she's replying to all of the comments which is nice of here. There's over 300 - she's relied to most (if not all) of them I think so the comment numbers are doubled as they include hers. Good for her

brogues is she? Where? I had a look at the gram the other day there and there was nothing. Just the curated positive comments on her last square.

I find it odd that Emily has announced it herself but SBS hasn't posted to update her followers about the change. Surely some people only follow the SBS account and perhaps not Emily.

There's also no mention/talk of the new stylists/hair people that were hired a while ago. Are they still part of things?

It is strange that there has been no official mention of Emily's departure, even to wish her well. Mhairi and Sarah have both posted today.

Emily announced it yesterday on her own instagram. She had hundreds of messages wishing her luck

So I am going to out myself a little (I have been on here some time) but I am one of the admins in the splinter group on FB, and got myself blocked in the old one straightaway for my troubles!
Today we had an interesting development, the Hustle woman tried to join the group!
We obviously declined(actually we blocked her) , as if she is on the look out for new stylists to work with, she won't be getting them from us... and then she messaged us threatening to sue for defamation as she has a number of screenshots apparently.
So far she hasn't delivered past one screenshot which shows a member saying her marketing strategy is a pile of rubbish. True.
Unimpressed would probably be the right tone for our response right now...
Normally I wouldn't comment on this stuff but when people try to threaten FB members for speaking their mind, well that's not happening on my watch.
