I have some tummy trouble and can't have anything tight on my waist but I don't want to look like I'm in loungewear either. I can't find anything suitable! Hoping I will find some recommendations here. M&S looked hopeful but out of stock🤞🤞

@mynameiscalypso well I've just sent the S&S ones back as they are too short (31" I'm 5ft6 and would normally go for a 32" but didn't want them trailing on the floor) but won't be ordering in the longer length as they just aren't flattering - gathered pleats on the front and pockets that don't sit well. I am a bit hippy (as in large of hip not in dress sense) but these did nothing for me.

Thank you for the feedback @thisgirlrides and sorry they didn’t work for you. We sound quite similar in terms of height and body shape so I think I’ll stay away from them. The search continues!

Yep I’m the same @thisgirlrides got mine today and so disappointed. Very unflattering. Mine are going back. I wasn’t keen on the fabric feel either. Bit shiny feeling. Definitely not worth £50. Had high hopes thanks to this thread.

thisgirlrides · 27/08/2020 18:47

Agree @LadyCurd fabric doesn't have the luxe feel that so,etching like the sweaty Betty yoga pants have. Let's update if/when we find something Grin

I agree - got the Camden pants and the fabric felt very cheap - plus the fit was huge. And they make you pay postage to return so it was a bit rubbish really. I don't have Me + Em trousers but have a couple of their dresses and they're lovely quality.

Does anybody know if the me and em ones have pockets? It doesn't look like it online :-(

Just to add my tuppence worth - I ordered the S and S ones due to the recommendation on this thread, they arrived today and I ADORE them!!! Feel gorgeous and so so flattering. Slightly generous in sizing but not massively, I found. Am a size 10 and 5'6 and their 10 31 inch leg is a perfect fit. Am in love!

White Company wife legged jersey trousers are good quality

LadyCurd · 31/08/2020 07:46

I didn’t have to pay postage to return my s&s trousers or do they take the DPD fee off my refund?

Burrog · 01/09/2020 07:23

While I love wide legs pants, they may look gorgeous but I must warn you all, they are a death trap. I used to wear them all the time until they decided to wrap themselves around my ankles and trip me when I was running a little, to get my kids to school on time. (You know how it is lol) As you can imagine, with my hands full of school bags, I face planted. Broke my hand & bruised my ribs. Wouldn’t recommend them at all 👎 took me 4 weeks before I was able to drive again. Thankfully all the mums rallied round to help me with the school run. I bet you never imagined your trousers could try to kill you 🤦‍♀️. I hope you find something. I live in leggings & joggers if I’m honest, I have stomach problems too, nothing worse than something digging into your belly. My only advise is to make sure you get your right size, wearing a size too small is just gonna hurt.
