Just had a new lob cut, and i have fine, but thick hair that goes greasy and limp at the roots too quickly.
Hairdresser recommended a volumising shampoo...but no specific brand...
Would love your recommendations please!

I use aveda for the last few years
It’s been the best for my hair so far as doesn’t seem to build up on it

I've started using living Proof products - shampoo / conditioner & thickening creme / mouse on my newly cut Lob. Like them so far Smile

L’Oréal do one which I rate, there’s a conditioner too

John Frieda Touchably Full works for me

I like Philip Kingsley weightless volume range. It a bit spendy to begin with but lasts forever,6months plus using every day on my bobbed hair.

Bumble and Bumble Thickening Shampoo is lush but spendy. I really like L'Oréal Elvive too.

Recently bought Aveda Invati and hate it. It doesn't lather or rinse.

Thanks for all the suggestions! decided to order the philip kingsley ones to try first as could get a smaller 75ml bottle to try out, and 20% off at look fantastic! If its no good i'll work my way through the others!

@nine as a slight aside I recently found No oil, oil Volumiser by Percy and Reed. It's fab in my fine hair and really makes a difference

This is the bomb for adding volume to fine hair. It's a volumizing spray, although there is also a matching shampoo and conditioner in the same range...

Christophe Robin Instant Volumizing Mist

Bumble and bumble thickening shampoo. I have hair like yours (but longer) and it's amazing. You don't want shampoo which has sulphates in. It's expensive but you only need a tiny amount so I can make a bottle last over twice as long as a cheap shampoo. I switch to other shampoos and I always end up going back to it and people will comment on how shiny/thick my hair looks when I do!

I’ve always fancied trying the b&b volumising shampoo must try it seeing you recommend it
