My Italy Korean towel thing came...

Jumped on the bandwagon and ordered a pack of the Italy Korean towel exfoliating cloths.
Ever the sceptic didn't expect a great deal, I already regularly exfoliate, how much more skin can come off?
Christ on a bike! Soaked in the bath for 20 minutes then used the cloth and literally lost a whole person's worth of skin, could have recovered a sofa.....
So great was my enthusiasm I even called up DH and the children to witness the great unshedding!
Moral of the story-get theeselves on amazon and purchase these life changing beauties and you too shall have the skin of your dreams.

Didn't do a thing for me either

MrDarcysMa · 29/07/2020 21:40

OP, next time try standing up so you're not soaking wet and using the cloth dry. It gets even more skin off !

MrDarcysMa · 29/07/2020 21:41

@Fluffycloudland77 try ameliorate lotion on your arms too x

BobFleming · 29/07/2020 21:42

Meh. The little green ones? Did absolutely nothing for me.

QueenCT · 29/07/2020 21:47

@Fluffycloudland77 bizarrely soap and glory clean on me body wash shifted my upper arm bumps, along with sanctuary wet skin gel (gel not lotion one). I think it's the fruit acids in both

That's interesting, have you weighed all the skin that came off? I'm thinking it might be a short cut to loosing a bit of weight. Smile

Runkle · 30/07/2020 02:07

23trains - I have those, they're great.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/07/2020 07:01

In the cold light of day my legs do look smoother. I’ll give it another go tonight.

dudsville · 30/07/2020 07:01

I love these. I bought them a couple of years ago from a MN rec. I don't get masses of dead skin removal but i do think they are fab. I have the long one so it's easy to do my back.

nanbread · 30/07/2020 07:31

But what state does it leave your legs in, do they actually feel any better than before?

dontgobaconmyheart · 30/07/2020 09:35

Slightly envious. The towels did nothing more than my usual exfoliating method (I get the pilling of the dead skin regardless as apparently I am constantly shedding skin, lovely)

The bloody 'dermaplaning' razors were an even bigger regret. Gorgeous glowy skin for a few days, I was over the moon and then a breakout so bad my skin is still awful 2 months later and the GP has given medicine for folloculitis Hmm. I'm prone to the odd spot but my skin was in a fairly good way, it's now very much not.

Floisme · 30/07/2020 09:47

Call me a tin foil hatter but I'm sceptical.
It's dead skin - it's going to fall off soon anyway.
And if there are any benefits, I would have thought they'd be undermined by sitting in a bath for 20 minutes.

calabalamuc · 30/07/2020 10:52

Will these Korean towel things help with the tiny dots on my legs from shaving them (not stubble as freshly shaved and feel lovely and smooth)? Or is there some other product I don't know about which will make my legs look nicer Grin?

showmethegin · 30/07/2020 12:07

@Fluffycloudland77 I have exactly the same thing as you, I bought a massive tub of coconut oil and use it every night or morning and it goes; within 4/5 days. Honestly it's magic stuff. And CHEAP!

Bodgedboxdye · 30/07/2020 12:09

They’re great for getting fake tan off. (:

ageingdisgracefully · 30/07/2020 12:47

I can't see what the fuss is about either.

However I've been using them on my face. I don't think I should, somehow, but hey ho....

sarahC40 · 30/07/2020 12:59

Ok so can you use them on your feet?

Fiftysixthnamechange · 30/07/2020 13:04

@sarahC40

I don't think they're tough enough to remove the hard skin from your feet, I use a motherscrubber for that, it's amazing.

These are the only thing I've ever bought due to a MN recommendation! Tbh I wasn't expecting much, but they do work well for me, as evidenced by the amount of gungy dead skin I have to clean off the bath afterwards Envy. The bumpy backs of my arms are a lot better in just a few weeks.

I've also used them on my feet and I must say, my heels are looking a hell of a lot better than they did a few weeks ago! That may also be due to me making sure I apply heel balm after scrubbing them too, and the fact I'm not walking miles every day atm as I did pre-lockdown.

Pearofwisdom · 30/07/2020 13:20

@calabalamuc you have strawberry legs like me. Only thing that has worked is Phillips Lumea I'm afraid

Roomba · 30/07/2020 13:21

I got some derma planing blades at the same time, but am also too scared to use them yet Grin

phoenixrosehere · 30/07/2020 13:32

I love those things. I looked into them after a uni classmate mentioned them when she was living in Korea. I bought a pack with five mitts (one for face and the other four different levels of roughness). Nothing that the States or the U.K. has offered has ever gotten off as much dead skin as those mitts have.

Fluffycloudland77 · 30/07/2020 16:00

I’ve used my salux cloth again and got loads more off. The water in the shower is cloudy when I rinse off.
