Can anyone recommend the HG of tinted moisturiser please?

I wear Estée Lauder double wear and I'm really pleased with it. But I'm looking for something lighter for those days where I don't want full make up but want to even up my skin tone. But I want something that won't break me out or slip off my face within minutes of the sun appearing. I'm also quite pale so it would need to be something with a decent shade range or that adapts well.
I might be asking for too much here 🙈
Do you have any recommendations please?

I like Erborian BB cream too.

Tartyflette · 22/07/2020 12:19

I'd like to try the IT cosmetics CC+ cream but i only like a very light tinted moisturiser or BB/CC cream and the blurb on the website says it's a Full Coverage foundation -- can anyone tell me just how light it is, or isn't, before i shell out 32 quid on it?

emma6776 · 22/07/2020 12:22

Estée Lauder daywear tinted moisturiser is fab. It comes out white but adapts to your colouring. No coverage but just evens things out and adds glow - I use a wee bit of concealer where needed.

I also use IT cosmetics cc cream which I love but is a lot heavier than a tinted moisturiser (but far lighter than doublewear) x

Howaboutthisone · 22/07/2020 12:25

I like the idea of something I can put on with just a bit of mascara that will even me out but also not slip off or go patchy. I had a look at the IT cosmetics one-still considering getting it. But the smaller travel size isn't sold in the shade I think I'd need so it would need to be a full size one which is a lot if I don't end up liking it I suppose.

I use sensei bronzing gel. It's water based and really light.

ElspethFlashman · 22/07/2020 13:08

No7 have a great BB cream. I think it's the Protect and Perfect one. Comes in 3 shades. I have a Laura Mercier and can't tell the difference between them tbh.

I said this recently on another thread but I don’t find it light at all, it’s thick and heavy and gives me pores where I had none previously.

Some people swear by it though. I’m in my 40s and recently a lot of foundations and creams have stopped sitting well on my skin.

Tartyflette · 22/07/2020 14:57

Thank you Mamette I think I'll give it a miss for now!
I'm older than you and certainly don't need anything that might make my pores look worse than they are.🙁

Another vote for the Sensai Bronzing Gel. I've been using it for 20-odd years, and have tried tons of others looking for a decent substitute because it's not easy to buy: I keep going back to it. I wear it year round, and it's so sheer you can apply it in the dark without getting streaks. It's not particularly moisturising and the SPF isn't quite high enough, but I use a serum and a full SPF50 cream (the Biore Watery Essence) underneath.

whiteonesugar · 22/07/2020 15:08

I really like Glossier skin perfecting tint. It’s lighter than a bb cream but i love it. Looks like my skin but better.

I used to love Bobbi Brown bb cream too, its more coverage than a standard bb cream i used to use it like a foundation really.

XingMing · 22/07/2020 15:12

@Tartyflette, in case it helps you, I'm nearly 64 and the Sensai absolutely does not sit in my pores or my wrinkles! If that helps you decide. Harrods sell it in London if that's convenient, otherwise it's online only. I think I got it from allbeauty.com last time. About £28. Only three colours: light, medium and dark, and I can wear either light or medium, but I have a light olive complexion. However, I've known it work on much lighter skins. I'd hesitate to recommend it to anyone with very pale Celtic colouring.

Gunpowder · 22/07/2020 21:05

I like the sound of the Sensai so have just ordered to try something new! I’m still bitter about my Lancôme self tanning gel being discontinued. Thanks for the recommendation XingMing and JudyGemstone. Smile

IT CC Cream. My holy grail!

If you're getting pores you're using too much or not using a brush maybe?

Gekeos · 22/07/2020 21:11

Bare minerals complexion rescue is really good lots of shades, I suggest a setting spray with a tinted moisturiser.

Todaywewilldobetter · 22/07/2020 21:12

Can you get Mally in the UK? I got bought the Neutralising Primer a few years ago and that was lovely on it's own too. Evened out skin tone. I'd entirely forgotten about it!

I've just been looking! It's there! Eek!

I use clarins tinted moisturiser in peach and really like it

thisgirlrides · 22/07/2020 22:01

I ordered the sensei bronzing gel after a recommendation on here and love it! I tend to use that if my skin is clear for a lovely natural glow but if my skin isn’t so good I go for Trinny London skin perfector & golden glow.

Greenfloors · 22/07/2020 22:17

No7 Stay Perfect Superlight Foundation. Absolutely love it.

Didyousaynutella · 22/07/2020 22:19

For something extremely light Trinny london bff is great. I just mix with a touch of my own foundation with it if I want a bit more coverage. I used to use bare minerals complexion rescue a lot and that was lovely, the closest shade was never 100% right for me but there is a big range. I recently got some erborian samples but too orange on me not enough shade range but the do like the green one they do that corrects redness.
Just received the Beauty pie tinted moisturiser and excited to try it. If you are a beauty pie member it’s a bargain. But not tried so can’t actually recommend.

MehMehMeow · 22/07/2020 22:41

I wear EL DW Ecru normally but on weekends I wear Erborian CC Cream in Clair. I have a light facial redness so also use the Erborian colour corrector if I’m flushing.

I tried IT Your Skin But Better CC+ Illumination SPF 50 in Fair but it oxidised while giving no coverage - an impressive if very disappointing achievement. I also tried Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in Vanilla but again orange (but the coverage was slightly better!)

There’s a YouTuber called Emily Noel who did an in-depth comparison of lots of BB and CC creams which might be helpful

Howaboutthisone · 22/07/2020 23:41

That's great thank you!
I'm going to watch that video tomorrow thanks.
Interesting about the ecru shade as that's the one I wear too-though it's probably a little dark if I'm honest with myself!

what does 'oxidised' mean? I've seen it mentioned a couple of times.

Lumene · 23/07/2020 10:31

Nars or Eborian
