I think you also have to look at it this way, The alex trousers are still cheaper than on Toast. The seller also has to factor in the listing fees and paypal fees. When that is all said and done, that's quite a lot taken off the money they make but still a pretty good profit I do agree.
It also makes you wonder how much of a profit toast is making if they can afford to reduce them so cheaply on John lewis every season. It also is every season that these reductions occur. How much exactly are they making for dresses that cost £200? Trousers that cost £115.

Yes, it’s profiteering, that’s how the world works but something sticks in my craw when I see someone listing loads and loads of eg Toast in different sizes all at buy it now prices 100% more than they paid. It’s the same when Uniqlo or H&M do limited edition collaborations and the vultures hoover it all up and eBay it for vastly inflated prices. It just feels really unethical. Yes, I know I sound ridiculously naive!
