@goldpendant I’m in the midst of an eBaying frenzy and agree with Laska re: listing well-known brands. So far I’ve sold 38 things and made over £800 so I’m pleased - just working up to the last few, about 15 more I reckon.
I’ve found very little rhyme or reason as to what gets a good price and what doesn’t. Whistles seems to be consistently good, Jigsaw seems to have very little resale value whereas to my mind, they’re similar in quality/price. I put in lots of measurements and had no queries about sizes etc which saves a lot of to-big and fro-ing.
The biggest surprise was a Mulberry coin purse that I had used every day for 5 years and was in very ‘well-loved’ condition (that I pointed out in the description/photos) but it sold at a buy it now price within 30 mins 🤷♀️.
I’ve found ending listings on a Sunday evening works best for me - weekends are when the most bids seem to come in. I haven’t found any difference between listing for 5 or 7 days - it’s the end day/time that has most influence I think.
I’ve sold quite a few silver jewellery pieces (Alex Monroe/Tiffany) that I haven’t worn for years and got good prices on those.
Good luck, the eBay app is pretty good - hearing all the bids come in is addictive 😊
