What do people think of Fat Face clothes?

I've always assumed that my Fat Face clothes ( of which I have quite a few, owing to affordability and comfort) aren't the most stylish items in my wardrobe. However, I've just realised that they are the things that get the most compliments ( white popover shirt and chino shorts, a floral maxi dress). My more (as I see it) stylish efforts ( silk shirts and skinny jeans, blazers, shiny brogues) go largely uncommented on.

I keep reading it's a frumpy label. Maybe I just suit frump? Anyone else actually quite like their clothes?

Don't keep wearing your Fatface clothes when they are basically worn out (because they are so comfy that you love them). There will be similar but newer versions in the shop and you can recycle the old ones. Apparently... Grin

Fat Face pyjams are the best. DD's (teens) love them, and they last for YEARS. In comparison to Boux Avenue, there is just no comparison, cheap, tatty, poor fabrics, and badly made, compared to well made, sturdy, cotton, and nice prints.

I really like them!

Really couldn't give a shit if people consider them frumpy or not. The middle aged fashionistas look a bit too try hard. Y'know, like Rod Stewart..... Grin

@EnPoinsettia

That’s just the exact opposite of me *@ballroompink* Fat face is one of the few places I can buy something that fits over the bust without utterly swamping my lower half.

Me too! It's the only place I can buy dresses, elasticated side panels are are blessing for those of us with big tits and small waists/hips. I can actually buy a size 12, which fits me everywhere else, but also accommodates my size xxxxxx boobs. And their dresses are 100% cotton, or linen, which is a rare find these days.

There's a lot to be said for giving up and going to live on a farm!

Well if it's good enough for Sarah Beeny...Grin

I love fatface casuals, they're a key shop for pyjamas and hoodies because they're nice quality, wash well and are so comfy.

I wouldn't wear their normal clothes though, they tend to be simple shapes, tending towards oversized, and with small patterns which doesn't suit me. I think it works more for women who are a bit earth mother, hippy style (as PP says, someone who looks like they're happy living off the land) and if I try that I just look scruffy.

I like them. The jeans are good. I wouldn't think of them as a fashion brand but the quality is fine.

Nah, frumpy is mid length polyester skirt with one pleat down the middle in navy, polyester blouse in grey and navy or grey cardigan. Tan tights and flat loafer shoes.

Or slacks instead of the skirt.

Brilliant quality
I don’t got to them for nice clothes for evenings out, but FF is a staple of mine for jeans, basics t shirts, PJs and loungewear. Also love their kids’ range

I like them, have a few dresses and jumpers. They're good quality and nice materials. I don't know why people on here slag them off so much they're just nice casual clothes. They're much better than a lot of high street stores that sell rubbish.

Some quality items, some are really poor though.
Men get wool jumpers (with a bit of nylon). Similar designs for women are much poorer quality, say 5%wool, rest angora, alpaca (pill like a bastard) and loads of nylon, thinner too.
I can’t wear a lot of their stuff as it’s cut for a short body but that’s the high street for you.

It’s not for me, I used to be gutted when dh came home with a surprise ‘present’ for me and it consisted of a drab pair of jeans and hoodie in bland washed out colours from FF!! It’s just so mumsy and ageing (on me, but I was 25 or so at the time, I was horrified that he saw them and thought of me to be honest!), anyway 10 years on and he’s very aware of how I feel about it and hasn’t set foot in there for years to buy me anything!
Having said all that, everyone has very different personal taste and style so I’m a believer in wearing what makes you feel good and not listening or giving a shit about what anyone else says or thinks. For me, FF does not make me look or feel good!!
