Ooooh I’m interested to find out too. I had a demo in a store and it seemed really easy. I have quite fine hair and it held in for around an hour Grin

Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:31

I love mine.
I have VERY thick long hair( bra strap length) which grows incredibly fast.
I struggle to get any body/lift in it with an ordinary dryer and brush.
Now it’s got movement/body everyday. In fact someone I know said to me that I always have Kate Middleton hair now!

I tend to wash my hair at night, put it in a plait for bed. Then it’s just the right level of dampness when I wake up. I can get away with only washing my hair once per week (if I put it up for the last day)
I use all the different attachments on it through the week changing it from straight to curly or the other way round.
If it broke I’d buy another tomorrow

Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:32

If you want to buy one and test it out- you can get them from QVC.
They offer a 30 day, no quibble money back guarantee.

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:33

Thank you @Siddalee, that sounds brilliant. Have you tried the Revlon one step? (loads cheaper..).
My hair is fine too @Evelefteden, at the moment I just straighten, but I'd like more of a bouncy style.

In fact - you css as n get it on 3 payments from QVC. So you don’t even have to shell out the full amount in order to test it out

My sister got one recently. She gave me a quick demo and now I'm super jealous!
So in answer to your question, yes... I'd say it's pretty amazing

Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:36

@Pomegranatepompom I’ve not tried that as my hair is so thick I’m often reluctant to spend on things as they won’t work for me. My hairdresser says I have the hair of three people on my head 😀

alwaysinpjs · 16/07/2020 22:36

Absolutely love mine. It's been a game changer.
Agree with the Kate Middleton hair comment.
I had mine directly from Dyson on a 35 day trial.
I'd get rid of my kids before I gave it back Grin

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:37

It sounds like I need it...

@Siddalee That's a lot of hair !

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:40

@ladymary86 @alwaysinpjs very promising. I have fine and wavy hair. Is it easy to use?

OP posts:
Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:43

Sorry. Meant to say - having done it with the bristle brush attachment.

I went to a festival last year and shared with a friend. I used the small curler on my hair. When we got up the next morning my friend took one look at me and said. “oh my god. I hate you- you even get up with great hair!”

Can you tell how much I love my dyson Smile

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:46

@Siddalee You are definitely convincing Smile

Is it easy to use?

Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:49

Took me a couple of goes to fully work it out, but only because it’s so odd not having to wrestle with my hair. I watched a few YouTube videos.

Now I can do it with my eyes closed.
I never have to go to the hairdressers for a “bouncy blow” before a night out now!

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:51

I might have to try via qvc.

Thank you for all your advice.

Can I just add that I’m 53 too. And have no intention of having my hair cut

Dyson Airwrap - is it amazing?
Siddalee · 16/07/2020 22:56

And this is using the vent brush. This took 10mins

I’ve not been the hairdresser since before lockdown and can’t go for a while as my husband is still shielding. I think I’d have ended up chopping my own hair off without my Dyson

Pomegranatepompom · 16/07/2020 22:58

I'm in my 40's hair a similar length but needs a good chop as the ends are thin. You're hair is gorgeous, definitely don't cut it.

Another vote for the Airwrap being amazing here!

Bought mine at the start of lockdown, fully expecting to return it for being gimmicky, but I am never getting rid of it now. My hair is thick and slightly wavy and I have really short arms so struggle to do my hair using barrel brushes/curling tongs. The Airwrap is brilliant for me - it's long enough to let me get to the back and leaves a hand free to get my hair into the right place to style. Also because it uses a lower heat than my old hairdryer and straighteners, my hair is in gorgeous condition and feels so soft.

Dyson offer 35 day returns and also do 12 months interest free via PayPal credit. You will not regret this Grin

alwaysinpjs · 16/07/2020 23:08

It's really easy to use but there are loads of YouTube / Instagram tutorials to help. There's a knack but it's quick to learn.
You won't regret it!

Crystalspider · 17/07/2020 00:21

I've had mine for around a week, really like it, curling my hair is not quick as I have alot of hair but the next day waves is also really nice so worth the effort. Drying hair with the smoothing brush for straigh hair is nice and quick and leaves hair bouncy. I do feel it's saving my hair from too much heat, before I would blow dry and use straighteners, so I think it's well worth the money to save hair from any more future damage.

Yes it's great. Mine stopped unexpectedly during lockdown and I felt panicky. Turned out I just needed to clean the filter. Got the extended barrels recently and love it even more.

Devlocopop · 17/07/2020 07:20

@Pomegranatepompom I have the Revlon One Step

Pros you can do your hair one handed, no holding a hair dryer in one hand and a brush in the other.

Cons - it blows air in all directions from the brush head, so I have to keep turning the brush to keep it brushing and smoothing. Basically the Dyson probably works better because the air is only coming out from one side, ie the brush head side on at least one attachment. I end up using two hands, one to pull my hair taut the other holds the One Step.

I don't find it smoothes everything, I would still need to straighten my hair, it looks frizzy. I do a better job with a brush and a hairdryer. My hairdresser can get my hair to look like it has been straightened when it has only been blown dry. So I know it is possible. But she says she can't do that on her own hair! ie it is easy when you have access.

I am so tempted by the Dyson but it feels like a lot of money.

Devlocopop · 17/07/2020 07:23

I also wanted to say the number of people on YouTube using the Dyson curling things incorrectly is ridiculous. Read the instructions! Then they complain it doesn't work well. I think Fleur DeForce has a great video doing it correctly.
