I have the dyson complete kit, felt it was worth getting all attachments and would have regretted it after it came
I love it, I have very long bra length hair that’s fine with a natural wave (frizz)
My hair is so soft after use and it dries it so much quicker than having to use dryer, straighter/ curling brush
100% recommended

I had it and have just sent it back :( I was DESPERATE to get it and was so excited to finally buy it. I have very very fine hair, the volume attachement did give really good volume and when I curled it it looked lovely for a hour then dropped out. I followed the instructions (used the cool shot etc) and loads of hairspray but nothing I did made my curls stay in so back it went. I think it totally depends on your hair type. I was wanted to love it

Thank you - super tempted to try on the trial basis with with dyson or qvc.

Wasn’t great for me, was so disappointed ☹️ It gave my hair a lovely style and volume however the frizz at the roots was still bad so it wasn’t worth it. Dyson were fab, when you return it they pay for a courier . I think with QVC you pay to return? Which may be pricey given the size and value.

Another disappointed Airwrap user here! I really wanted to love it. I have the Dyson dryer and it's fantastic. I do like the brush attachment on the airwrap; my hair feels lovely and smooth but using the curling wands wrecked my hair. It only takes a small amount each time and took ages to dry. I got the same effect with me Dyson dryer and a brush. I'm returni mine to QVC after 6 weeks of trying.

When I said same effect I meant as good if not better, effect with my dryer and a brush.

I loved it originally but wish I’d just got the full size dryer instead. The curls look lovely but don’t last at all (I had collar length very thick hair - it’s shorter now). I have the Babyliss Curl Secret and I could get three days out of those curls! My Aurora band gave me at least two. The Airwrap...I was lucky if they lasted the day and it took ages as a pp said. And yes, I folllowed the instructions.

I have a short Bob now (going for a pixie next week) so all I need is the dryer really. I do think for some people they’re fab, but it just didn’t really work for me.

MrsPerfect12 · 17/07/2020 23:48

I have one and love it. My curls last all day and I like my straight look that I get too. If you have FB they have a group on there for hints and tips.

KatharinaRosalie · 18/07/2020 12:22

Love it, I have fine hair and it holds the style the entire day. I think if you really want tight corkscrew curls, a wand is a better option. But for loose curls and volume without frizz it's great. And it takes me just a few minutes.

Quarantimespringclean · 18/07/2020 14:36

A huge advantage of buying from Dyson is that if you decide to return it they send a courier to collect it at no cost to you. Much more convenient than having to walk to the post office and pay postage and insurance to return it to QVC.

I have one but I use it but I wouldn’t repurchase if it broke down. It gets incredibly hot and the styles don’t hold well.

AnaViaSalamanca · 19/07/2020 17:46

Is the airwrap better for quickly drying hair too? Or the other dyson one? Or GHD?

I am also considering one, but I have A LOT of thick hair and it takes ages to dry.

torquewench · 19/07/2020 18:38

I got mine from QVC, Ive had it about 5 weeks but I'm returning it. I have fine hair, just past shoulder length. I dont feel that the results justify the cost as I can get the same effect with big barrel curling tongs or my Babyliss Big Hair. Its also a bit of a faff getting the hair to wrap around the barrel, and I could only do small sections at once, so it took longer. It didnt hold very well either.

Having said that, I love my Dyson hairdryer.

ChrissyPlummer · 19/07/2020 18:45

AnaViaSalamanca it does dry hair quicker (I’ve never tried the GHD one) but I still really wish I’d done for just the dryer. As I’m having mine chopped this week then I guess it won’t matter but my hair is very thick and even in the short bob I currently have it’s taking a lot longer than it used to as I haven’t had it professionally cut and thinned for so long. If I had the choice again, I’d go for the dryer alone.

I'm very interested in this and have been reading through the comments on here, but apologies if this has already been covered and I have missed it. But if it were bought through Boots or John Lewis etc, can it be returned just because I don't like it or get on with it? I really want to get one but it's such a lot to spend if it turns out to not work well on my hair. Also, is the dryer attachment as good as the Dyson hair dryer?
