Are Dr Martens worth the money?

I live for a chunky boot with a floaty dress. I have a bad back so I need comfy foot wear. Are Dr Martens worth the price tag?

Worth every penny. I live in mine (in normal times).

I've always fancied some DMs but was put off by the idea of having to painfully break them in. Inspired by this thread, I just bought some soft leather ones and they are fantastic- soooo comfortable! I don't want to take them off!

If you don't want to break them in and you've feet size 5 or smaller then buy the kids ones. They have a zip on the side so there's no faffing with laces. Also they get a lot of fun patterns and they're cheaper. Don't know how they'd stand up to serious trekking though.
I wear DM safety boots for work and they're great. Much less sweaty than regular steelies.
