H&M and Asos - still no refund

NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 21:44

I have returned my parcels (5) by hermes and royal mail to H&M and Asos ages ago. Def more than 2 weeks and haven't got a refund. Smth else sent on the same day has already been refunded by another shop. Anyone in the same boat? Do you think they are just overloaded or I'm in trouble? My mistake but I don't have shipping slips. My husband posted them 😓 but for 5 different parcels to get lost? That's unlikely right?

Me too. Things are slower atm. I do have my slips and they say on way back but nothing since. Been a while

ilovecherries · 28/06/2020 21:51

I have an H&M parcel which tracking says they received last Thursday - so 10 days ago - but haven’t received a refund yet. It’s odd as they are dispatching really quickly.

nitgel · 28/06/2020 21:52

(Mine was to cos but still a hm brand )

MooMinCow · 28/06/2020 21:52

I had this with an H&M parcel. The myhermes tracking said it was on its way, but the H&M customer service says if not received by them in 14 days to contact them. I phoned, gave them the tracking number and they refunded me straight away. I think there was an issue with Hermes parcel system a few weeks back. You will need the tracking number though.

NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 21:54

@nitgel @ilovecherries thanks for feedback! Do you mind posting here when you get your refund? To get an idea of an average timing. I got my parcels so quickly, it just feels odd and I started worrying as they amount to a lot of money. I was buying my whole summer wardrobe 😬😬😬 fingers crossed they refund eventually!!!

H&M take ages to refund almost a month I think mine was

userxx · 28/06/2020 21:56

Boohoo said they were taking up to 28 days to receive returns a while ago because the of the post taking longer.

Did your husband bin the receipts?

Judystilldreamsofhorses · 28/06/2020 21:56

Gah, I am in a nightmare with H&M. I ordered a dress which took weeks to ship, and in the interim my debit card had expired so (unknown to me) the PayPal payment failed even though I had registered my replacement card. (They don’t take payment until they ship.)

I returned the dress, then got an invoice for it! Once I figured out what had happened I immediately paid the invoice, but I can’t get a refund because their systems don’t marry up the payment with the order. I have done their online chat several times, sent screenshots of the payment, but no refund.

It’s not a huge amount of money, just under £30, so I know I need to write it off, but it is extremely annoying!

nitgel · 28/06/2020 22:00

Yes I'll post when I get the refund. I also emailed them last Thursday and haven't had a reply.

NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 22:24

@moomincow how would they check what items in particular are being returned? I think I have got one tracking number for 2 parcels sent together to H&M by Hermes. Says they are still at the sorting depot. Very annoying. It was on 14 June that we sent them.

OP posts:
NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 22:27

@userxx pretty sure he did. He doesn't even remember getting them. Very upsetting. Didn't expect to end in trouble with H&M. He sent 2 parcels to them by Royal Mail and to by Hermes dropp off.

H&M have taken ages despatching my bits throughout lockdown, they’ve taken a good couple of weeks to arrive, I’ve also returned a few bits too & that took over two weeks. I sent mine back by Royal Mail.

PicklePig31 · 28/06/2020 22:45

ASOS have been really good throughout lockdown. I return via the PO and they scan my return bar code and print/send.

Never takes more than five days from sending to be refunded. It’s one of the reasons I shop there so frequently.

I reckon the issue is Hermes. Can you not track?

Gingercatlover · 28/06/2020 22:55

I have had this with H&M, only way to contact them was via Messenger, I got a refund after contacting them twice.
Maybe give that a try.

Also just had a refund for some stuff returned early June but only know because I checked my online banking, didn't get the usual refund email.

cad186 · 28/06/2020 22:58

I returned a parcel to h and m on 6th June and I had my refund yesterday!

isabellerossignol · 28/06/2020 22:59

I'm having similar issues with Figleaves. My parcel was returned over 7 weeks ago, I rang them and they confirmed that it was received about 5 weeks ago but they can't tell me when they'll refund me.

NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 23:00

@gingercatlover did you have to give them the tracking details? I wish I at least received smth about them receiving my return. But it has been silent. No items, no money 🤦‍♀️

OP posts:
NavyBerry · 28/06/2020 23:04

@cad186 oh thanks that leaves me some hope!!! There must be justice

OP posts:
Gingercatlover · 28/06/2020 23:35

@navyberry No I just told them that I hadn't had a refund, and they messaged back saying they had processed the refund.

It was a nightmare getting hold of anyone though.

Also had problems with Next and Hermes,
Next haven't refunded items sent back on the 01st June, still chasing them over this.
The last returns prior to this also weren't refunded and had to contact them.

dontgobaconmyheart · 28/06/2020 23:39

I would follow up with Hermes if you have a tracking no OP. See what they say. Unfortunately with no proof of postage it's not likely you'll be entitled to a refund either from the retailer or Royal Mail. You definitely need to proof of postage for a royal mail claim unless that has recently changed.

Not done an ASOS return but my H&M order took about two weeks to come and I think 15 days to get the refund, sent back by Royal Mail. Hopefully it will turn up soon? Fingers crossed for you, this would stress me out Flowers

healththrowawayx · 29/06/2020 00:07

@Judystilldreamsofhorses open a chargeback with your bank

ilovecherries · 29/06/2020 00:16

My H&M wasn’t sent via Hermes though, it went with RM. It was a 48 hour label, and they actually got it the following day according to tracking.

I never use ASOS - I returned three orders over a 12 month period (out of 6), and had an email saying I had a high level of returns and if I had any more they would suspend my account. I soared then the bother and closed it myself.

TDMN · 29/06/2020 00:36

Achh no, just sent off a H&M return and a Monki return via Hermes, this wasnt what I wanted to see! Dont normally use Hermes either, normally only use Royal Mail or the ASDA returns thing.
H&M returns have always been insanely slow sadly, its why I dont buy from them online very often as i'm used to ASOS - been shopping at ASOS for 10 years and in all that time I think i've only had 2 occasions where it's taken longer than 5 days for the money to be back in my account after returning something (and i buy/return a LOT)

fizzpopbang123 · 29/06/2020 06:46

Both H&M and ASOS T&Cs state the refund my take up to 14 days from date of receipt. So not from when you sent it. You need to check the tracking. Also, that will be working days so you can't include weekends. If both those things are in your favour you need to get on to them.

Sorting at depot means it's still with the courier. To be honest at the moment, I think the fault lies as much with the couriers, they are processing unprecedented amounts of parcels as no one up to last week has been able to shop other than online.

RuthW · 29/06/2020 06:47

I'm still waiting for a Matalan refund via Hermes. They received parcel on 5/6/20
