Hello!

There used to be a lovely what are you wearing today? thread(s) on here for people who were plus size (circa 16/18 and up I think).

Could anyone tell me if they've seen one lately please? If there isn't one on the go, would anyone be interested in joining me on here?

I'm size 16/18. Today I'm in a New Look floral dress and DM boots. Pic attached (hopefully).

This is a bit niche but I'd really like a dress with lobsters on it, or crabs, or even a third place to prawns. Failing that something decidedly nautical. I'm also fussy on colours but if anyone sees anything that might fit the bill in size 20, please holler!

Ooh great idea for a thread, can I join? I've lost 10 stone in the past year and am down from a 30/32 to a 16/18.

I'm struggling to know what I can wear and sticking to my usual black leggings with a long top more often than not. When I wear what I would think of as a short top but in reality's a normal length top, I feel very exposed and like my enormous arse is in full view!

Today's outfit is high waisted black leggings (surprise) and a new black floral wrap dress from New Look (not somewhere I have bought anything for years). It's a size 16 and fits surprising well, plus the fabric is super soft almost with a brushed feel which feels lovely on, do all in all it's much nicer than I had expected!

@ChequerBoard wowsers, that's amazing, well done! And how??? I'm trying to lose but it's so hard & slow & I find it semi would destroying as food & wine are what I live for! (And dc & family, yada yada..)

If you feel lost I highly recommend getting a colour & style consultation. I had it done about 6 years ago by house of colour & loved it. Currently follow styled by susie tribe on Facebook & they do it virtually & irl. I'm almost tempted to have it done again!

Wow, that is an amazing weight loss chequers ! That is so impressive. I can't seem to shift a lb at the moment, but reading that is a psychological kick up the bum for me.

BurtsBees, I love L&Y dungarees! I have had the original ones and some umis. What have you gone for? They used to do really great sales there, but haven't seen anything I like on there for ages, except full price.

How are the fit on L&Y dungarees? I’m really tempted but reckon I might look like an oversized toddler, also I often get camel toe issues in dungarees

AfterEights, I am a tallish apple, who also suffers from the dreaded camel hoof!

Personally, I prefer to size up in L&Y dungarees (XL which I think is 20 - 22, but I'm a 16/18), and I also go for the tall one (I'm 5'8"). The good thing about them is that you can adjust the straps as you like to avoid camel hoof. I just find that the smaller size makes me look a bit pregnant! I gave a pair in the size 16 - 18 to a friend recently and she is about a 10 - 12 and also would probably be more apple shaped I think, but a lot slimmer than I am.

As long as they're comfy on the waist, you can mess about with leg length and shoulder straps to make them how you like, so if you're small on the waist, I'd go small, but if you're big on the waist, I'd go bigger.

I'm size 16/18. I'm disabled so don't always manage to get out of bed & dressed, but today I wore my Oasis shirt dress. It's a kind of dusky mid-green, in a snake print. I swapped the fabric belt it came with for a wider, black one. It makes me feel fab.

I'd love to join although lockdown has left me not making a huge effort these days. I'm wearing some quite old and faded wide leg cargo jeans, and a plenum top in a bid to hide the stomach a bit! My mirror has an annoying line through it but you get the jist :)

These are the Seasalt dungarees that I mentioned earlier on. They are good quality and thicker material and will be great for autumn. The legs can be rolled up or down. They came with a tie for the middle but I never use them as I look like a pillow with a rope around it when I do.

I actually don’t wear dungarees all the time, although this thread would suggest otherwise!

Here I am in same Sainsbury's top as a couple of days ago, Uniqlo jeggings and DM boots. Just been for a walk with DH, DCs and PILs, so nothing too glamorous today.

Nice outfit! I used to have DM boots like those but in black. Sadly they fell apart a couple of years ago. I still miss them.

Thanks sonja. They are so handy! I actually prefer them to the chunkier, traditional DMs, as these are quite bendy and comfortable to walk in. If they ever fall apart I am buying more of the same, immediately, as I wear them so much .
