Hello!

There used to be a lovely what are you wearing today? thread(s) on here for people who were plus size (circa 16/18 and up I think).

Could anyone tell me if they've seen one lately please? If there isn't one on the go, would anyone be interested in joining me on here?

I'm size 16/18. Today I'm in a New Look floral dress and DM boots. Pic attached (hopefully).

Fat face dress (14) over M&Co leggings (16). Working from home today and have a lot to do!

T shirt, 16, peter storm, via eBay
Skirt, 16, M&S, via charity shop
Trainers, 7, Fit Flops (quite new but badly scuffed - any tips on safely getting marks out of white, leather trainers much appreciated)!

It's due to be hot here today, but bloody boiling tomorrow!

Have the H&M dresses arrived yet? How do they look?

Yes @sonjadog! They have arrived. I'm not 100% tbh, BUT, they are pure cotton and very swing/ floaty, so I'm keeping them for the hot weather. I will probably wear one tomorrow, as it'll be boiling here. Will wear with sandals. Going to paint my toenails this evening especially.

So, I was strutting about in my shiny new, hot pink puff sleeved dress today. DH encountered me on the stairs and said I looked like a neon marshmallow . Clearly, the man knows NOTHING about fashion. But I will save the dresses for a day when I'm seeing people on whom they will not be wasted.

Here i am in Asos Tall dress, 16, from eBay.

I will try the dresses on for your guys later maybe and you can confirm if I look like a marshmallow, or like Vianelle (hint, I'm aiming for the latter).

I'm in a green cotton dress with pockets from H&M as its already Too Hot. I will take a pic if I leave the house but currently braless!

Honestly LadyP a neon marshmellow sounds like the best kind of marshmallow!

You must be in a similar area to me @LivingDeadGirlUK. Meant to be 32ish here today 😩🥵. Think I will be in the paddling pool today and I'm not even joking 😆.

Is anyone here an extreme pear? Since having babies my shape has changed and I’m now a 16 on bottom and 12 on top. It’s so hard to know what style would work.

Today I’m wearing size 16 paperbag shorts and a 12 vest

@Rebelwithallthecause I'm a similar shape, although I have a big tummy overhang from my C section. I am a 16 on the bottom and a 12/14 on top. I usually go for a 14 for a looser fit round the tummy but this often leaves me baggy around the boobs/shoulders.

However I'm not really very stylish!

Tummy is my problem area for sure. I also have the classic CS overhang. It is a lot better if I up the exercise, which I am planning to do. Dh is going to take out dcs later I think, so I'm going to do some yoga in front of the fan, (no bikram please and thank you ).

Did I say 32 degrees? It's more like 35! Ugh so hot. Need aircon.

Best part of my day so far was an out long car ride with air con on max

So I've managed to keep the house pretty cool today, we are both working so I've kept all the windows and curtains closed and only opened the front door for the postman. It's worked so far and its still pretty reasonable but I'm not looking forward to tonight as our bedrooms get really hot on a sunny evening even with the curtains closed. I need to go open up the conservatory and get the ceiling fan on before its time to pick our son up as he will want to be out in the garden before dinnertime.

I have some new hats! Ordered them from Fatface where they have 20% off. I have an eye condition that makes me very light sensitive so these should be a big help.

It's cooled down a lot thank fuck! Hopefully not too bad tonight 🤞. There's a nice breeze now and the sun isn't half as aggressive.

This is a great thread! I wearing an old blue and white stripy tee shirt white stuff dress . It’s cool but Not very flattering, just pottering at home today so it’s perfect.

What happened with the Cos dress, LadyP? Are you going to wear it to the christening and did you find a suitable jacket and shoes in the end?

I am keeping the dress @sonjadog! I love it. It isn't to everyone's taste. I definitely get that. I sent it to one of my friends who has similar taste to me, (the same one I gave my L&Y dungarees to)! She loved it, especially with the fugly Mary Janes.

Here I am in ancient t shirt, eBay skirt and black Snags. Dh, dcs and I went to a NT property today, so I wore it with M&S hiking boots.

I am going to try on the H&M dresses later, maybe with a belt round the middle to see if they are any less marshmallowy...

Today I am wearing a lime v neck tshirt from (I am guessing) Primark from last year and some sporty trousers - navy or black (not sure!) with white piping on them from either Evans or more likely M&S from about 20 years ago. Also bright pink skechers from a few years ago.

I'm currently in my EXERCISE gear...just thought I'd mention that in passing, casual like, as if I do exercise all the time...it's boring, but it's part of my life...ehem... This weekend is the first time I've done exercise other than walks with the kids in quite some time. I'm doing C25K and did the first one today. It was fine. Not easy or super enjoyable, but fine.

Will post a pic when I get changed! I'm sure you'll notice how super fit I look after two rounds of exercise .
