Hello!

There used to be a lovely what are you wearing today? thread(s) on here for people who were plus size (circa 16/18 and up I think).

Could anyone tell me if they've seen one lately please? If there isn't one on the go, would anyone be interested in joining me on here?

I'm size 16/18. Today I'm in a New Look floral dress and DM boots. Pic attached (hopefully).

I like denim dresses. I wish I had more. The ones that have been on here have been lovely.

I like your dungarees, LadyP! I haven't tried L&Y dungarees. Maybe I should get some for the winter...

I was worried about the tummy issue when I first got dungarees, but I actually think I worried unnecessarily about it. Yes, my tummy is noticeable, but tbh, I think I am kidding myself if I think it isn't noticeable whatever I wear. Dungarees are no better or worse than a dress for revealing it to the world.

today I am wearing a floaty chiffon skirt with poppies on, a cheap white top from Primark and a very old cardigan that I don't even remember where it was bought.

I love the poppies on that skirt.

it's very striking, cheap as chips on e bay but probably from China, I bought a lovely cream and lilac floral one too. £8.99 Bargain! feel very 'girly' wearing them and today was that sort of day after cleaning the house, changing the sheets and then having a shower I just felt like wearing something other than leggings

Now I want a denim dress too. I'm in dark salmon, maybe not quite cropped, trousers from M&S & an off white top from Laura Ashley with brown Birkenstocks.

I stopped off at H&M today as I really wanted to try the banana leave print dress but they didn't have it & I ended up buying this green one. I think it's probably better on the hanger. The neck is wrong, I really need a scoop, or a deep v, or a shirt dress to make a V. Feels like so much hassle to return & I like the print & want to like it. Ugh.

I love that banana leaf print dress! Always find sizing and quality so hit and miss in H&M that I’ve given up on them

I'd like to introduce you all to my first jumpsuit. Its by Noisy May and a size 16. I'm going to wear black Vans with it.

I like that green dress, buckeejit. The colour and pattern are really nice. I would try it with a different bra maybe? Might a bit more uplift make the difference to the top part so that you like it better?

Day release . I like it, love the colour. I always worry that I'd be like a toddler trying to get it off when going to the toilet!

@sonjadog thanks - I've retried & it's better but still not good enough I think - tried on my current favourite dress next to it & it's not up to scratch so will have to return it. I think it might be to do with the sleeve shape.

Anyway, today I'm in next flare jeans & an alexon linen knit jumper. Haven't worn either for years but really want to cut any unloved stuff out of my wardrobe & heavily trim it so determined to go through everything. Trouble is, I think I will quite like a lot & keep hoarding!

My dresses arrived from Joe Brown. One is lovely, the other is not, so it's going back. I'll wear them over the weekend. I also got a lovely Seasalt dress on eBay, which I'm thrilled with. Even DH likes it and he is quite hard to please when it comes to my new clothes, (because I have too many, tbf...but I mean, his idea of "too many", really isn't that many by my standards, so nerr DH ).

Sorry, I'll wear THEM, meaning the Seasalt one and the one I'm keeping from Joe Browns. I am not wearing the one I am going to return !!!

My non green dress is from Asda last year, it's actually dark rusty colour & deep blue-it was half price & the 25% off event so cost the princely sum of £6! It's currently my favourite dress & was admired by a fancy lady at a group I go to who only ever wears fancy designer labels

I love that dress OP. When I saw it first, I thought it was a Seasalt one! Havent been in new look for years. Maybe I need to reacquaint myself with it

Here I am in an actual Seasalt dress. Size 18, via eBay. I am thrilled with it! It is, dare I say it, very slimming I think. It is midi / just below knee length. Excuse the rubbish pics. Couldn't get near the decent mirror this morning as I am surrounded by children . Wearing it with burgundy Snag tights and a Next boyfriend cardi (size 14, also from eBay - a bit snug at the mo...ahem , but I wear it open and it's fine).

I'm wearing some distresed green combats from H&M size 16, and a black long sleeved t shirt from M&S in a size L. These trousers are pretty poor quality, stiching to the zip fly is coming away plus they haven't washed well, wouldn't reccomend.

That's frustrating about the trousers @LivingDeadGirlUK. H&M can be a bit hit and miss (ha! Maybe that's what H&M stands for )!

Not much on today. I'm about to stick on my trusty DMs and go for a walk.

I cleared out my dcs' and my wardrobe yesterday and am doing a little inventory of my wardrobe 🤓. I like writing things like that down. I don't know why! It is the process I like and the resulting inventory, probably will just go in the bin. I am clearly becoming a bit...eccentric these days .

I don't like to moan about weight (body posotivity and all that) but having put on a fair bit during lockdown I've only a few bottoms that fit :(
